    Insurance needed

It would have to be 12months since he first got his M1. If he got his M2 three months later, then he has 9months left to qualify for Jevco rates.

    This is BS!!

A rough quote with Jevco would be around $1400 - $1500 for basic coverages and an additional $400 or so for Collision and Comprehensive. If you go up to the 650r though, your best bet will be State Farm as Jevco surcharges all super sport bikes by 400%.

    Insurance needed

I will be in the office Wed, Thurs, and Fri this week - give me a shout and I will check around for you. Phone or e-mail works best. I think Jevco would cater to all of your needs, except the CBR600 which they would surcharge 400%. Maybe we can leave that one with State Farm and do everything...

Move 10 minutes, equal 600 dollar increase?

The way insurance companies rate premium these days has drastically changed from the past. Anyone with common sense would assume that if you drive a cheaper, used vehicle, and you park it in a safe place, and you don't commute much, and you have a spotless record - that you should be paying...

accident - not a fault - why does my insurance co still record this as an accident

If they record the accident as Not At Fault, and it appears on the CGI Autoplus report as Fault: 0% (that's the report companies check to view your insurance history), you have nothing to worry about. If they recorded it as NAF, but described it as a Collision (Autoplus would show COLL under...

    Bike crashed payments wont stop

Insurance companies will also keep the policy in force (along with the regular withdrawals) until the claim is deemed closed. If you don't end up using a rental vehicle provided by them, then the original date of loss is used to backdate the cancellation (provided you actually want to cancel...

    Sv650

The SV650 is not considered a sport model with Jevco. The two tickets also don't play a factor in their rating (as long as it's just two) - so we are left with your age and CC's as the determining price variables. I did a rough quote for liability only at $2600.

Three minors. Any brokers need a client?

It sounds high, but it always depends on where you live and if there are any other issues on your driving record/history. Things like, Cancellations for Non-Pay, At-Fault Accidents, or high Accident Benefits (injury) pay outs, can increase premium substantially. Give me a shout by phone or...

    At fault accident!!

As long as neither party's insurance company hears about this incident, it won't be an issue for you. As far as I understand, you don't have to report an accident to the police if the damages are below $1000. Therefore, if there really were just minor scratches, maybe the cop won't report it...

SF taking money from my account....details and options.....

Your number one concern from a rating standpoint is to avoid being cancelled for non-payment. If you get one, or a few of those on your record, it can really do serious damage in terms of premium - some insurance companies now rate for non-pays almost the same way they would rate for At-Fault...

    2 bikes - 1 to ride n 1 to wrench

You can definitely keep insurance on just one bike at a time and then do the switch whenever the time comes. There wouldn't be any fees or complications, and your broker shouldn't hate you - it's our job to assist our clients with any policy changes you might have. The year, make, and model...

    Full coverage vs Min. coverage

Since you were not even on the bike, you are definetly not-at-fault, and there's really no way your insurance premium can go up. On top of this, you've already got the other driver's information, which eliminates any possibility of a Hit & Run (Hit & Run without an identifiable Third Party is...

Does it matter when you start buying insurance?

With our two biggest markets (Jevco and Royal & Sun Alliance), insurance experience/history doesn't really factor into the rate, unless there were prior motorcycle accidents and/or cancellations for non-pay. They rate more for the type of bike you ride and how long you've had your M-class...
