As for insurance, if you go with a sport/touring, cruiser, or under 600cc bike - my recommendation is Jevco (I deal with them - might be around $1500 - 2000 for the first year), but if you go for a sport model you'd have to try State Farm, or maybe TD - or worse case...- Aleks Hara

Robert and Viffer are exactly right - you want ownership, driver's licence, and insurance slips all to match for address. Simply tell your company where the bike is garaged, and they will override the postal code in the policy, thereby rating it for the correct location. With some motorcycle...- Aleks Hara

Wind damage
Check the deductible to see if its even worth claiming - as stated before, it's a comp claim, so no direct impact to record, but if you start getting a few of these a year, companies will start asking questions or limit/exclude certain coverages.- Aleks Hara

Jevco tends to rate for the highest rated rider, but as few members have pointed out, other companies might have different arrangements.
