Weather was hot and dry. Major cluster**** of lost track time in the morning due to ambulance calls constantly. BBQ had 2 helpings and the Golo Girls were fine as ever. Nuff said. Otherwise, I got plenty of seat time in after lunch and had a blast and a half as usual. Suspension guy did wonders...
Saw a sport bike on the back of a tow truck tonight about 9:30PM on Sandalwood near McLaughlin going eastbound. Hope this wasn't due to a rider going down in the wet.
One of the guys that went to Florida with us in February, had the exact same thing happen to his Duc.We were going up and down in elevation over the mountains. Not sure why yours did it in a stationary spot. Possibly a low pressure system followed by a high was enough to do that???????

Zactly. That's why the shifter has to be 'loaded'. Just enough pressure until the pedal can't move anymore and the gears will mesh as soon as the engine unloads.
It's done so quickly, you don't feel the drop. The throttle is not reduced gently to match the next gear's RPM per say. You are really just unloading the transmission to allow the next gear to mesh. So the throttle is chopped and applied in a split second. Listen to a racer or track rider...
