    Canadian Online Stores

What online stores do you use for parts? I know of Canada's motorcycle.com mx1canada.com . The second store is more for off-road/mx bikes. Are there any other shops that you guys know of or use? Ordering from the US is such a pain in the *** - the exchange rate, plus you get slapped with...

    The 2015 Brewery Tour

Ha, I love it. I didn't know there were so many people of this mindset. There's something about riding all day, and coming home and drinking beer. It's as if those two things were always meant to be together.

    Kentucky Bourbon trail?

Has anyone ever done the Kentucky bourbon trail? There are so many distilleries. So you bike during the day, and then enjoy some bourbon sampling in the evening. Looks like there might be some nice roads once you get past boring up-state new York, and get further down towards Pennsylvania and...

    Help me plan for NFLD

I did Labrador and Newfoundland last year. Definitely spend more time in Gros Morne. We stayed two nights, but if you plan on doing hiking, spend more there. ALso, we did Baie-Comeau, Quebec to Lab City in one day, then Lab City to Goose Bay, and then Goose Bay to Red Bay on day 3 (this is...

OEM BMW Crash Bars for F700 or F800GS all model years - $250

I have a set of F700 GS / F800 GS crash bars. These are BMW OEM. I owned a F800 GS, rode it for a year and then upgraded to R1200 GS :) now I have an extra pair of these. They go for around $400 after tax at a BMW dealer. Only used it for one season. I never dropped the bike, so they are...

    BMW owners movement!

I'm just going to brag about a trip through labrador and Newfoundland with my buddy last summer. I was on the 800GS, he had the 700GS. You an see it here in a cool video. I already posted this in the 800GS thread, but you can't see this video enough times :P...

    r800gs Owners

No issue with the 21" at the front. I rode it from Toronto, through Labrador, through Newfoundland and back, on knobby tires, and it was great! Here's a video of the trip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12X0bBeZW6U No issues with the bike either. It's not the most exciting bike to ride...

    Stolen bike registry

It was Chained, wheel locked AND alarmed - and still got stolen!!? There's just no hope! Although I guess the key is to have an undesirable bike. A guy has had a KLR in the garage of my building, and it's been there for the last 3 years.

    Quetest Helmet?

The earplugs only attenuate about 20-30dB, so it's still fairly loud. Also, i find that when it's windy, the earplugs rub against the helmet cushioning and create the annoying muffled noise.

    Quetest Helmet?

I hate windnoise! I'm sure you all do too. I wear Kimpex ear plugs 95% of the time while riding. But I read that the quietest helmet is the Schuberth C3 Pro. Does anyone have this helmet and can vouch for this "quietest helmet" claim? Apparently it is 84 dB of loudness at 100Km/h, which is...

    Newfoundland and Labrador ride

No actually, the F800GS has tube tires. Only the R1200GS has the fancy new spoke wheels that don't need tubes.

    Newfoundland and Labrador ride

Yeah, the black flies were quite terrible. I found that if you put bug spray on your helmet, and around the entrance of it, it sort of helps to keep them away. I did get some nasty bites though. I did have TKC-80s actually. Pretty good tire. Would PROBABLY make the trip back home, but I...

    Newfoundland and Labrador ride

Trip was great! The 100 or so Km stretch of road from Baie-Comeau, Quebec, was probably the best road on the entire trip. Labrador was one rainy mess - but we got through itl. Some big pot holes on the dirt roads, especially between Port-Hope-Simpson and Red Bay. Overall, everything was...

    1998 Acura Integra - 219,000Km, $2,650

If you need a car that you only drive sometimes, because you already have a bike and ride that most of the time, this is the car for you! IT's reliable - I've had it for 3 years, and only used it when I couldn't ride. It still looks very good, especially the interior, which has been...

A bit of help with Charter 11b (Violation of charter)

Has anyone ever done this? I read the sticky on the subject, but it's way too complicated. Can anyone point me towards some resources / step by step process on how to do this? Any help would be appreciated. The backstory: I got the ticket in August last year. I had my first court date...
