It was Chained, wheel locked AND alarmed - and still got stolen!!? There's just no hope! Although I guess the key is to have an undesirable bike. A guy has had a KLR in the garage of my building, and it's been there for the last 3 years.

The earplugs only attenuate about 20-30dB, so it's still fairly loud. Also, i find that when it's windy, the earplugs rub against the helmet cushioning and create the annoying muffled noise.

No actually, the F800GS has tube tires. Only the R1200GS has the fancy new spoke wheels that don't need tubes.
