Velocity Storm pants. Go see Jimmy @ Velocity in Mississauga and you can get them custom sized. I have a pair that has seen a lot of use and I am happy with them.
It is by that school. I guess the road has changed since you have been up last.
They have built a few new subdivisions in that area over the last few years and they are building more just north of the school on the east side. In fact the little strip mall just south of there on the east side...
I ride that road quite often and it's very good. Just watch out for the radar trap in Nobleton at the new subdivision or the north edge of town. It's north of the Tim Horton's on the east side. He hangs out on the road that leads to Nobelton Senior Public school. Usually tags people going...
I purchased my bike from them back in 09 when they were in Ajax. No issues whatsoever. They were knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Great transaction.
Haha! You look familiar as well. No worries about the valves. Maybe you can hold out till the rest of the season. As for the centre stand, it is pretty handy. One of the nice features of this bike.
What model of FZR did you have before?
Important.
Makes for easy starting and even acceleration across the rpm spectrum. Also improves fuel economy. It goes without saying that it also helps with reliability.
I recommend it.
Very sad. My condolences.
My wife's cousin (Who was a respected Dr. in Toronto) died last November of the same thing. A cure for this terrible disease can't come fast enough.
Ninja 500R.
I have gone 300km without hitting reserve but don't usually stretch it that far. At ~280km I start looking for a gas station. My set up for touring is a beadrider seat cover, Cortech saddles bags and the matching tail bag. When riding 2up I just use the saddle bags and my wife...
What bugs me is when people don't use "urinal etiquette" (ie. leave a space in-between) in a nearly empty parking lot.
You make effort to park in the "back 40" and then some d-bag usually in POS vehicle will park right next to you when he could have picked one of the other 100 or so empty...
You are probably right about the oil filter and the plastics. On a 500R you just need to remove the tank and the battery to give you a little wiggle room. The carbs can be removed in about 20mins.
OP - Do your carbs have a fuel filter from the factory? In the fuel rail maybe? If not maybe...
I'm on an iPhone so I can't see the pic all that well but.... Why is your oil filter on the ground? Did they drain the oil? They took all the plastics off to get at your carbs?
