I have a Ninja 500 (in my 6th season with it) and yesterday while on a group ride up near Creemore we caught some serious cross winds. Probably the worst ones I have ever been caught in.

Good call. Ride till the end of season and drop it off then. Winter is a little slow for them so they will have more time to work on bike seats.

OP - Check your spark plugs specifically inside the cap. Most times the little copper ring can get damaged causing a misfire in one cylinder. Also make sure your idle is set correctly. Sounds like it is set to low causing it to run rough and cause difficult starting when...
I've ridden River Rd. a couple of times. Great road but there's plenty of gravel in corners and suspiciously, on the roadway in front of some driveways. I have heard that some residents (can't confirm) like to sweep the gravel onto the road to curb motorcyclists.
Definitely an easy choice for me as well in terms of my next seat. There's a lot of businesses out there that really don't care about their customers and the product they deliver. At Alpha, it's a family run business and it shows.
