    Bicyclists should have insurance...

Holy **** I thought this thread was a joke at first...because of a scratch on a car, bicyclists should have to carry liability insurance? Please don't reproduce...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Most of this stuff is incredibly tame and not video-worthy; whoever is making the video comes across as a massive ***** who probably shouldn't be on the road to begin with.

The rise of new riders and motovlogging

Better to be a part of that generation than the "I was too busy doing drugs in the 60s and 70s to give a **** while they sold out the country and environment and economy...sorry kids but now you're ****ed because we're all lazy pieces of **** that could drop out of high school and still afford a...

Looking for advice: SV650SA vs FZ6

Fazer8 masterrace confirmed! After a summer and a half on my Fazer8 I am a true convert - the only thing I plan to change out is the rear shock and probably the brakes (I always had SS/SBK rides before and the stock brakes on this thing are a spongy feeling nightmare). I get between 4.6 and...

A Wristband to Save You From Speeding Tickets? - YouMotorcycle

*** Not a lawyer *** As long as you don't have to swerve to avoid them they would have a pretty hard time proving that you saw and ignored em. One of those situations where unless you talk yourself to jail you can just keep on trucking. Make those fat f***ers get in the car and throw the...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

While I agree with the sentiment of your post - blocking people from splitting, or really blocking people from doing anything on purpose with your vehicle is grounds for HTA 172 seizure. If some LEO saw this whole situation go down though I don't think he would be charging the car driver.

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

I know everyone is just dying to hear my opinion on this  Ok as someone who is in favor of lane filtering even where its not legal, I have to say this guy probably shouldn't be doing it - if its me, I would just go around the guy on the other side and forget he exists...don't sit there...

    WTF near Dundas and Dixie

What the... Sense my good man, try making some! I never said anything of the sort (hitting another vehicle) and don't support the guy who hit the vehicle in this story and took off!

    What's a good first car?

Don't buy a car that needs payments for your first car...just get a shitbox for 500-1000 bucks and learn to keep it on the road yourself...first few months you will spent what would have been the payment money on some tools and spend some time reading. Biggest advantage of this is you don't...

    WTF near Dundas and Dixie

you don't have to be honest with us, but be honest with yourself at least...the reason you will "never" support lane-splitting is because you probably know on some level you will never be a good enough rider to do it safely. it's so sad to see such anti-rider rhetoric from one of our own

    WTF near Dundas and Dixie

This makes me sad...I advocate filtering even where it isn't legal but come on just stop and at least offer up some cash or something if you legit run into someone's car. People can be surprisingly cool about these things, I haven't run into anyone straight up but a helmet I had attached to my...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Took a fun trip into the GTA last night - I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was essentially no traffic at around the 7:30PM mark coming from the tri-cities area. Saw a black/red Daytona 675 getting gas at the "en route" after Cambridge as well as some other bikes passing the...

Odd thing about being in a car.

This is only true if the person is an idiot, but if we're honest there are quite a few idiots so your argument does hold some water...but the answer isn't "accommodate the idiots with policy" it's "educate the idiots so they stop braking when someone merges in front of them".

    Possible illegal basement Apartment

You can break any lease in Ontario with about 1-3 months notice depending on factors, illegal/unsafe basement apartment is definitely one of them. If he sues in small claims you will win - if your goal is to leave that place just give enough notice such that your last month's rent can be used up...

"“It’s not the other vehicle you need to worry about.”" - Halton POlice

Look dude, I'm not saying anyone who tracks is automatically a better rider - but what I AM saying is inarguable is that riding at the track will make you a better rider unless you really try your best not to gain anything from it.

"“It’s not the other vehicle you need to worry about.”" - Halton POlice

Here? You're basically a car in terms of riding dynamics. If he was a courier in a major US or EU city where filtering is legal maybe but you don't get good at riding just from clocking miles. I'm not really a "track day hero" either - in my younger days there was a time where I went every...

Odd thing about being in a car.

It's an indicator not an askicator - if my signal is on it means I am merging in - no amount of pouting or trying to speed up will prevent it from happening. That said, my driving philosophy is "don't make other people hit the brakes or swerve through normal actions" so generally I don't have...

Odd thing about being in a car.

It always works for me, if people won't let you in, bully them out of the way, and if people are merging - just let them in. The former I would only do in a car though, haha, we won't be bullying anyone on our bikes

    Bogie on the long weekend?

nah once I saw they have exclusive on that track instead of excessive their prices became reasonable - it's one of those tracks...the fees and insurance for the weekend are probably like 10k and then whatever you have to pay the ambulance guys to hang out. some municipalities even have by-laws...

    Bogie on the long weekend?

This is a bit unrelated to this thread, but many regions have 'that organization' that has less instructors and less fat built into its track days where the track day fees are in the 100-150 range rather than 200+; for people not looking for babysitting or instruction what is the best...
