    Buying 2014 CBR 125 Advice

Hi! I found a 2014 CBR 125 and the guy is looking for $2600. Is this a good deal? Considering that it's discontinued... I also read that Honda heavily discounted the CBR 125, but which year was that? He says there are no KM's on it and never been ridden. Thanks!

    Restaurants connected to the TTC

With such crappy weather today, I was wondering if there were any good restaurants that are 'connected' to the TTC. By 'connected' I mean, no need to go outside. Ie: Eaton centre food court or the Atrium is accessible from the Dundas stop without going outside. If you're near Eglinton station...

Helmets with built in sun visor?

The Scorpion EXO 500 was mentioned already. But, if you have a wide head like mine, that one fit awesome. I ended up paying more for a much lighter helmet though (Suomi Apex). The sun visor would have been nice however.

    Midnight ride.

I've been working on my cornering: trying to get as low as possible but I'm still pretty chicken of getting too much speed, applying my breaks and high-siding. Any tips?

    Random high revving during stop

Just want to report that I have brought my idle down to 1100-1300 and the high RPM's while at a stop, have not occurred lately. Merci!

    Karma is a .....

In drivers ed when I was 16, I learned about "rear-control". Same should apply on a motorcycle. When about to reach a stop, use your mirrors to check if anyone is behind you. If someone is, slow down EARLY and check to see if the person behind you is slowing down as well. Then give it some gas...

Its been 1 year since the accident, court update.

That is some scary shiesse. So, is this type of incident inevitable? Like dropping your bike? Seems like the only way to avoid this is to slow right down and make sure the car sees you fully (while making sure there's no cars behind you)

    Random high revving during stop

I will check the snap back tonight. However, when I give it a little throttle and forcibly close it, the RPM's stay at wherever I revved it to (in 1st gear with clutch in). Never lubed before but I would like to. Any suggestions on the type of lube? I read about silicon before on these forums...

    Random high revving during stop

Yup, I remember clearly the idle was around 1700 at operating temps. Then, while sitting at the red light, I gave it a little throttle to 3000 - 4000 RPM (while in 1st gear, with clutch held in), then closed the throttle, but the RPM's stayed at the 3000 - 4000 until I let out the clutch a bit...

    hissing gas tank

When you say hiss, do you mean a 'wheezing' or whistling? Mine makes a faint, high pitched wheezing noise. Found out its normal on the 250. I read on a forum about drilling some holes somewhere to help vent the air build up and quote: "no more gayest sound in the world!". but who cares. just...

Dual Sport suggestions for short rider?

Was wondering what some good suggestions for a dual sport might be. I'm about 5'4", 135lbs. I will mainly be riding roads so it should be comfortable. However, I'd love the option of riding some gravel roads and trails. Googled around a bit and saw the Kawasaki KLR650. But worried it might be...

    Random high revving during stop

Okay, I really paid attention to the problem now and it isn't as I described. The high RPM's occur when I am in first or even second gear and give a little throttle, then immediately close the throttle. However, when I close the throttle, the RPM stays at whatever RPM I got up to in those...

    Random high revving during stop

Yup, same bike. Not totally sure if it's a full or slip-on; how do you tell? As for re-jetting/shimmed: no idea either! This is the only technical mod done to the bike AFAIK. The fender was cut/filed down and frame sliders were added. I'm going to be riding her tonight so I'll report back with...

    Random high revving during stop

The RPM's stay at 1500-2000 after I let the clutch out a tad and back in again. Bought bike used so not sure when the last time they were cleaned. I've been hearing lots about Seafoam... I'm trying to remember when the 4000 RPM occurs most..... I think most of the time, she's at a normal 2000...

    Random high revving during stop

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm just wondering though... if it was the idle screw, why would the RPM's drop back to 1500-2000 after I let the clutch out a bit then back in again? If the idle screw is the culprit, shouldn't the RPM's stay at 4000 at every idle?

    Random high revving during stop

I never use choke to start up but I'll double check when I get home that it's completely closed. Is it good practice to use choke even though she starts up without it? This high revving happens at operating temps. When coming to a stop in 1st gear and clutch in, the RPM's are already at 4000...
