If you by a Ducati in Canada from a dealer you are getting Ripped. Buy used of some one else or do what I did buy from the US, if you want to save 7 or 8 k which in my mind is worth the work gettng it over here. It' wasn't hard to import and the dealers try to scare you into thinking it's...

Dude, get a Pitbull stand and take the tire off your self, Bus it or cab to the shop if you have to. You should never let your tires get to this point. Think about were you want to invest your money when it comes to your ride your tires are hold your life on them.
Thanks for the advice. I washed the tires down with soap and then used some fine sandpaper, which worked perfectly. I went for a spin and was cautious and so far so good.
Just cleaned up the ride and got a bit carried away with the armor all, I washed it off with a soap and a rag but it's still pretty slick. Any suggestion on getting oil or this stuff off ? general whats the best practice for tire cleaning ?
Hi i read your post on getting a ducati 848 down here from the states I'm doing the same thing and was wondering if you ended up getting it done ?
also I called Ducati for the recall letter and they told me that they only provide them to dealers. I was wondering how you pulled it off...
Thank you very much for the feed back, so it looks like it's all about Customer service. I'm currently with Jevco and they won't do anything for a ducti 848, too bad they have been great so far
OK, did some home work on this and found something I find odd, I looked to see a 2008 ducati 848 could be admissible to Canada and surprising found that it's not listed, it says all models above 2002 are not allowed.
I'm I reading this wrong ? Any one bring an ducati 848 back from the states ...
Has any one successfully taken advantage of the exchange rate these days and purchased a bike from the States ? I would like to understand the process and how you got the bike over.
Thanks
I'm looking to get a quote on a 2008 or 2009 Ducati 848, and based on what I have read, State Farm is the company to go with. Does anyone recommend who I should call and why they are the best? Does it make any difference?
Thanks for your help
