    Let's talk brake fluid!

I flush mine every couple weekends. Once the bottle of fluid is open it doesn’t last very long so you might as well use it up. On my street bike I flushed it every spring. For me the boiling point is very important so I don’t end up with brake fade 15 laps into a race. It may not be necessary...

New Chain time - DIY Help Needed!

Absoloultly nothing wrong with a flare link, they are used by every racer. You rarely see a thrown chain that was installed correctly and not worn out which is no fault of the master links.

    Riding offroad should be mandatory

Ok, do that in mud or hardpack without a berm and let me know how it works out for you ;)

    Riding offroad should be mandatory

Seems I'm one of the few that can apply dirt riding to street/asphalt riding. Cool beans.

    Riding offroad should be mandatory

I'll disagree on the apples and oranges thing. They're still on a motorcycle and the bikes react the same way but yes, everyone should learn to ride in the dirt.

    Dirt/dual in snow

It's not necessarily the snow but what's under it that changes if you can ride on it or if you're tippy toeing around. If it's frozen sand or hard dirt you're ok. Grass, leaves, sticks, roots, ice, and you'll end up on your face fast. Maybe really well packed snow thats almost frozen might be ok.

Track suit for tall and slim

6'-6'1" or so and 170lbs. Dainese 54 fits me perfectly but I wear padded shorts with a chest/back protector. I found the knees to pinch badly on one of my suits to the point of bruising but it eventually went away. My d-air that's the same size fits better though and never had the pinching oddly...

where are all the end of season track bike deals??

First bike or still dropping 2-3s/lap then no the bike isn't going to take you from last to a national champ. A bad bike can take you from top 5 to out of the top 10 real quick or make you work a hell of a lot harder and risking a lot more to get back there.

where are all the end of season track bike deals??

It could absolutely loose you a race. Some people don't get it until they really see them. Start working on the bike and it shows who spent all winter in the garage or if they just smashed it together in a weekend with whatever they had lying around. I look at some bikes and throw up in my...

Some noob questions regarding Enduro Gear..

I think the old school style boots hold up better. The sole protrudes 1/4" or so past the toe and that takes a lot of the beating.

Did you cut your balls off

I thought that leaving the pinch bolts on the brake/clutch was common knowledge! Mine are loose enough that if I give them a good whack with the palm of my hand I can move them. Maybe that's why I don't break levers often? That and I prefer not to fall.

Did you cut your balls off

Well they can do both but the primary purpose is to protect your hands.

Casas to race at Barber, USA this coming wknd !

Kenny's motor decided it wanted a vacation and Tomas crashed after hitting a false neutral and missing a corner. He won't be racing today but he's phisiclly ok. Unfortunate day for them.

Casas to race at Barber, USA this coming wknd !

Looks like a DNF for both Kenny and Tomas in race one. Not sure what happened to Mitch but I don't see him in timing/scoring at all.

    Anyone rent track gear?

I'll check my Joe rocket suit when I get home and see what size it is. You're welcome to borrow it. If it gets damaged I'll take it to BICKLE for repairs and you pay. It's not pretty so unless you destroy it I'm not concerned about it.
