Before I used fans... I would throw a bonji corde over one of the top canapy bars. Use the bonji hooks to hook them to the chin loop and hang it under the canapy. Wind blows nicely through it and helmet is away from the sun ;)

I actually use Snowboarding/skiing socks. You don't sweat in them and they are not warmer then the A* I also have. I prefer the skiing socks.
