America is still the Wild West!

Outstanding. Wonder what the cop bike is - KTM maybe?

Backpacks - Ogio Mach 3 or kriega r20

The Mach 3 looks small. I got a Renegade RSS 17 for Christmas, the thing is massive and super lightweight. It replaced a 10yr Metro (both Ogios). Padding is much better on the Renegade.

    Aprilia bike assembly (Motogp)

    Very cool.

Would you repaint your motorcycle for $1500?

I think the forward slant is producing the illusion. It's not a huge bike - I felt cramped on it. The seat is pretty high though.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Saw a naked KTM on King W near Bathurst this PM. Super Duke maybe? Was mostly black. Looked and sounded badass! Also a black Ninja something or other on Bathurst moments later. You bastids.

What is the latest i can do my M test in 2017?

They gave me my full M on the spot. But you might be right - I wrote my M1 in mid-August 2013. Mid-August '13 to late June '15 is just over 22 months.

What is the latest i can do my M test in 2017?

I think the 18-month rule applies even if you skip the M course. I did my M1 Exit at Learning Curves in late October 2013 and did the full-M test at the MTO in late June 2015. Counting on my fingers, that's less than 22 months.

Old bike owners - anyone tried the Continental Classic Attack?

Those are my exact rim widths. There aren't tons of options but the Avon Roadriders are popular and widely available.

    What's for dinner?

I had a blue called Devil's Rock at a winery tasting in Owen Sound. That stuff was amazing. Super creamy for a blue. https://www.thornloecheese.ca/en/our_products Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

I had the Westmalle Tripel at Biermarkt. That is one potent brew!

    Torque Wrench Calibration

First torque wrench I bought was a beam type but I find it awkward to use. You need to be looking at it squarely from above the scale, which is almost always impractical when working on a bike. Can't beat the price though.

Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Megadeth brew. Nice blend of hoppy, sour and fruity but it's kind of tame for a Unibroue product. Went right back to La Fin Du Monde after that.

    2017 Norton V4RR

Is it really a brand though if the bikes never hit a showroom? Sounds like it's basically an artisanal, made-to-order operation.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Been wondering the same in light of some recent posts. Is it fair to suspect that many of them cannot be titled because they are er, borrowed?

    it snowed in montreal today...

You can't get a good feeling for it in the vid but Beaver Hall hill is really steep. Too steep to try and swerve/coast downhill - you'd probably end up going through the intersection at 70km/h at the bottom. That's why you see everyone just get on the brakes and never let go of them. Anyway...
