Ya I just thought it was interesting. I don't think theres much of a point sharing the exact numbers. It varies too much, they wouldnt be any use to you. Plus its goes way down after 25, and I don't want to scare you off with what a 22 year old pays for insurance haha :D
All this talk of cruisers made me curious so I called my insurance and got some quotes for the bikes mentioned in this thread. Obviously insurance varies so maybe this is useless information, but Ill say it anyways.
All the 650cc cruisers were more or less what Im paying now for my 600cc sport...
For sure, its probably not realistic to assume you can get your money back. But if you only spend a couple hundred bucks to own a bike for a year thats not too bad.
Still, I did make back all the money put into my bike. Including all maintenance and taxes and everything. Maybe a got a good deal...
Why do you say that? There are always tons of buyers for smaller bikes. If you buy the bike in the fall/winter and sell it in the spring the following year youre almost guarenteed to get your money back. Plus insurance savings.
Depends on the bike though I guess. I made money when I sold my...
They often can be, but youre talking about a 1300. But only way to know is to get some quotes. They are definitely not classified as sport bikes though. Good insurance companies recognize what these bikes are, for the most part, and insurance is usually 1/4 or less of what a real sport bike...
There was freezing rain for 15min last night so of course they salted :(
They didnt salt the whole roads tho. Just the hills and corners. Because everyone knows bikes love surprise salt patches in the corners.
I just got my set of Michelin pilot road 4s, cant wait to try them out, heard alot of good things. The GTs are supposed to be great for the big sport touring bikes
Did you attach your battery to a trickle charger/battery tender over the winter?
EDIT: Just missed your reply. Maybe the bike slipped off the tender for awhile? Idk, alot of things couldve happened.
You just tell them what bike and what year and theyll tell you every battery they have in stock thatll fit the bike. They usually dont have a ton of selection though. Theyll charge it up for you though. I promise you it won't be under $40.
I've never heard of yusa so I can't speak to that.
Canadian tire. But youre not going to find one under $40. Not sure what the point of a $40 battery would be. Itd have to be either used or just complete junk. Id rather keep the old one.
They say we're getting snow here friday but they said that early in the week too and while there were a few short flurries no snow on the ground and no salt trucks were out. Im hoping we can keep this going till the weekend when its supposed to be nicer. Freezing rain tonight but hopefully its...
