I used to think this way. I'm in the process of replacing the motor on my 04 cbr1000, less than 50k. My old f4i had over 80k trouble free when I sold it...
Oh well, like Johnny said, no brand is perfect.
good bike, I had one and it had 80k on the odometer when I sold it. -1 on the front sprocket is a good mod.
As has been said, the cam chain tensioner is the weak point on this bike. Replacing it with a manual one is a pita, but shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred.

There was a second cop that nabbed him. There is nowhere that his type of motorcycle is identified. Could have been a harley seeing what his top end is.
And I sympathize with him.
