Paralyzed Hamilton motocross racer awaits Supreme Court ruling on insurance claim

I'm trying to figure out how his claim went as far as it did. Every Auto Policy in the province has a "Prohibited Use" of "race or speed contest".

    Spectators at CSBK Calabogie

There is no PA system. Not sure if there will be radio. It's available, but not sure if CSBK uses it. Nope, doubt you'd be able to do that. The paddock is going to be full.

What to do with an old helmet?

I tried this with 2 fire stations and an ambulance station. None of them wanted it. They thought it was a good idea, but didn't know the procedure for accepting used helmets. Anyone have success in doing this?

    Speed cameras

Don't know about Toronto, but in Hamilton it's 1 (ONE!) km/hr over the speed limit. https://www.hamiltonnews.com/news-story/10112709-hamilton-motorists-to-be-on-camera-while-driving-through-safety-zones/

    strap down the bike

If you're going to install a wheel chock, you might as well go all the way and install a PitBull restraint system. Nothing more secure and easier to load than that. I use for for all my bikes. Trailer Restraints

    U.S. Driver's Licence

In most states and provinces, if you live in that state or province (even temporarily) you legally have 60-90 days to switch the plates (and insurance) to the new jurisdiction. Did the American insurance company ask you where the vehicle was plated? Probably not, as they assume it was plated in...

    U.S. Driver's Licence

The insurance follows the registration of the motorcycle, not the driver's license. So, if the bike is registered (has a permit) in Ontario, it must be insured in Ontario.

    What are your lap times?

If I didn't have a lap timer, I don't think I'd be doing track days anymore. 90% of the on-track fun for me is the attempt to get lower lap and intermediate times. And, so far, I've been able to go faster year after year...
