How about an SV650S as mentioned above. This is the one I had a few years ago. Great engine, great handling, very reliable,. really recommend hitting a dealer and taking one for a test ride.

took my missus for a ride yesterday , did about 20kms, was chilli enough but the roads were fine. There will be days/times you can get out until it really starts to warm up. Your already paying insurance get out for a ride when you can. Just wrap up and be careful. No need to let her rip just yet.
