Well dam, I never even thought about classic insurance. I've been resto-modding a 1984 Magna, it fits those criteria. I don't have the second insured bike though. How many km/year do they let you ride?

Nope, the 300R motor is just a beefed up 250 motor, one of the parts they changed were crankshaft bearing retainers, and they will come loose and destroy the engine eventually. The recall (October 2016 IIRC) just replaces those retainers. My 300R blew up at 19000, Honda replaced the whole motor...

It's high gloss enamel clear, high gloss enamel black, high solids enamel primer, all by Duplicolor in rattle cans from CT. Ive been doing 3 prime, 1000 grit, 4 black, 1500 grit, 4 clear. The test piece came out like magic, cleared just after the base got tacky. everything that was resprayed...

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that was my problem. I did test one piece with a clear a few minutes after the base coat and it came out beautiful, but any coats after the enamel cured turned out terrible. I'll try again today, if I have more issues I'll probably just take them in somewhere.

Had a bit of an issue with my paint today, I did 3 coats primer 4 coats black a few days ago and it came out beautiful. Went to clear it today and it resisted terribly even after a proper cleaning. Did the same when I resprayed one part black too. Need to sand and reprime/paint it all in 1...

Even the best brands are sketchy with their battery warranties. I've got a set of the brushless Makita drills and the batteries pooched within 100 hours ( 1 year) of use. They wouldn't replace them under warranty due to them being stored in my car where it reaches less than 32F. Santa was nice...

I can vouch for the 300 motor in that new Rebel. My CBR300 was a champion and had no issues with a few hours at 140. Might be a little gustier with no windscreen but dam that rebel looks good IMO.

I was waiting for one too. Needed a new jacket, thought the april 7-8 moto show would have better deals... It was meh. Ended up buying an Alpinestars on clearance at Cycleworld, they can have good deals sometimes.

I rode my first 1000km on a borrowed plate with Temp sticker. Rode from the boonies to the city more than a few times. As long as you don't act stupid, you should be fine. Keep a vigilant eye for the piggies though! I do not condone this, but I wanted the practice before I did my M1 exit.
