Well I ended up getting approved for the $870 quote on the GSXR750 so I went ahead and put the deposit down. If anyone wants the name of the agent that helped me out on this one, I'll gladly pass it along. They're based in Cambridge, fyi.

I'm bumping a 4 year old post here, but does anyone have any info on the Guelph test? Is alamusi's route posted above still the same one being used today? I'm surprised that it didn't include any of the ramps at the highway 6 & 24 intersection.

Thanks for the info! And since my bike is nothing special (09 FZ6R... I mean, I think it's pretty but I suppose everyone thinks their child is special) I'm probably over reacting to the theft threat. Who's going to bother with a 4 grand bike when there are so many nicer targets, right?

After reading through this board I've determined that if I take my bike to Toronto it will be stolen the moment I'm off it and blink. Is motorcycle theft really that bad? I ask because I wanted to take my bike into the city to visit some friends, possibly over night. If they live...

Cheers. I have a 2009 Yahama FZ6R. I probably went a bit too big for a first bike but I'm a lot more comfortable on it now.
