    Loaning your bike

Interesting, I guess it's maybe the brokers then that perpetuate this falsehood then. As I mentioned before, my broker said he could get a cheaper rate for me if he could exclude anyone under 25 from driving my vehicle. But other than what I posted above, I see no mention of it on my policy. I...

Maybe I'm slow but I can't figure it out/google it. I'm guessing it's Black Creek Pioneer Village but can't find any references to "the Anchorage" anywhere... Another hint?

    Loaning your bike

I suppose that's just a rating class, and the principle operator (myself) is older than 25 years? I specifically remember my agent asking if he could exclude anyone under 25 years old, and I told him yes, but I guess that may not be reflected in the policy. Is it possible PO could also mean...

I'll pull it out when I get home, but I'm with Coachman for my auto policy right now (although likely switching soon).

While the first part may be partly true, I have on my auto policy to specifically exclude drivers under 25 (in order to reduce my rate). I can probably share the certificate of insurance with you if you're really interested.

600 Super Sport or 650 Standard as a second bike?

I still consider myself a total noob so take this advice with a grain of salt if you like: I'd probably look at a used Ninja 400R or 500R. I started on a 400R last June, and it's a very forgiving but capable bike on the highway. It has no problems at all keeping up with traffic and still has...

Of course. If they get pulled over and don't have one, they can get cited for failing to produce proof of insurance. At the very least, keep a photocopy of your current insurance slip and ownership (front and back, with current validation stickers) under your seat, most cops won't give you too...

Just remember you pay NY sales tax as well (at time if purchase, not when you cross the border) and it's *not* refundable

Rate increases for 2012 approved by FSCO

It's also worth noting that given the amount of flak that the government regularly receives from voters over the price of insurance, it's in their best interest to ensure that premiums are as low as possible. They're just stuck in the unfortunate position of being between the insurance companies...

Rate increases for 2012 approved by FSCO

I don't know about you, but I've done pretty well on my investments in the last year. Maybe you need to get out of the high risk stuff or get a financial advisor? Well given that you seem *so* knowledgeable about the insurance industry, surely you would realize that insurance and investing...

Rate increases for 2012 approved by FSCO

Given the size of just about every insurance company, I'm sure they're subject to regular audits. And while they're not government (and can spend their money any way they want, subject to the will of their shareholders), it's in their interest to drive efficiencies as it makes them more money...

So let me get this straight...nobody cares if I took a riding course?

The reason I suspect they don't give a discount for a riding course is because most riders take a riding course, and isn't a significant factor in claim rates. That being said, a riding course is worth every penny for the experience you gain.

    need some advice

Just a quick note that you can do your M1X before before the 3 months is up and they will hand you a form you can take to the ministry when your 60 days is up. Don't wait to book your course as they fill up quickly and you could end up having to write your M1 test again if you can't get a course...

    Dealer suggests new bike break-in

For what it's worth my 400R was the same for the first 2000 km (both dealer and manual). Was also told to vary speeds, trip length etc. I obeyed it for the most part, as it won't hurt (although I did a few runs above 6000 rpm so the engine wouldn't end up lazy).
