I just heard a report on the news yesterday that the luxury market (clothes, fine dining, etc) is actually above pre-recession levels (and is one of the only sectors that is), and is driven mostly by younger people. I know my discretionary income has increased dramatically in the last few years...
I thought you learned everything about riding in 30 minutes? By the time you got your M you should have been doing handstands on the seat while accelerating to highway speeds and taking the correct blocking position. :)

Always, always, always get an insurance quote before you buy a bike. Can't stress this enough, avoids situations like these.

You can order your abstract on the ServiceOntario website with a credit card and get it instantly. I believe it's the short one but that should be all insurance companies care about anyway
I think if you read back and look at the behaviour and quality of Pegassus' threads/posts you'll find that it's really easy for people to fly off the handle a bit when it comes to him (myself included) . I particularly like this thread...
What exactly is frivolous about riding on the wrong side of the road, causing an accident, and hurting someone? This should be good. Let's say for the sake of argument they were both able to get back up? Should they both run then? I guess some people just can't comprehend the magnitude of their...
For how much longer? Didn't they just announce they're closing down a bunch of lines at that plant? While I agree Oshawa is different, if he had to support his family on that sole income in Toronto, I doubt he'd own a house anytime soon.
Are you really that naive? The fuel economy ratings are a useful tool for comparing between bikes, not for predicting what you'll get. I find on my bike if I ride it really easy (no hard acceleration, moderate speeds, etc) that I'll get 350 km out of a tank, but if I'm a little more aggressive...
I bought my 400R from Hans too, fantastic guy (and a Dutchman to boot!) I wasn't comfortable riding my first bike home so he even dropped it off at my house (on a Sunday no less!) would definitely buy from him again.

I forgot to pay a ticket a few years back and pulled my Driver's abstract both before and after I paid the ticket... And there was clearly nothing on it afterwards (other than the original ticket). I typically pull my abstract when changing insurers as it's good to know what you're going in with...
Just a quick correction... Now that you've told them about it I think you are screwed... Had you not said anything you would have been fine...

Once the ticket is paid the suspension doesn't show up on your abstract so I would say no... The insurance company has no way of finding the suspension in this case (unless they pull the abstract while it's under suspension)
Yup. Some people won't care until they hit some 10 year old girl walking home from school, and even then, some won't care.
Whatever happened to people taking responsibility for themselves and their actions?
You must have a very distorted view of the world if you think anyone but a very tiny segment of the population gives you a "GOOD rep" for stunting on public streets. Most people are abhorred by such behaviour and it's the very reason that HTA 172 exists.
Regardless of how you feel about the police, that's not the point. It's about helping the PUBLIC, ie. you and me. It's about getting a clearly dangerous idiot off the road. What if someone you cared about was in the car and the bike or rider went over the hood and through the windshield and...
Did they direct you to go to an accident reporting centre? If so, please go. Then call your insurance company, tell them what happened, and give them the insurance for the other driver, and they should be able to direct you on how to get your bike fixed. Since you'll almost certainly be...
