Re: Got my Renewal Paper (2016) ... My insurance went down !!!
That's my understanding as well and my beef with rating only on the first 3 digits especially in Brampton

Funny how they don't get that ... Individually no but you can bet that this scenario is being played across the market

I believe that Aviva gave a healthy discount for new business. I've even switched brokers but stayed with Aviva and got better rates!! I've done this for too long and have heard all the corporate scripting to actually enquire about an increase. I get on the phone and shop. Currently I'm with...
I don't think anyone is happy with moto insurance. All of us feel we are getting ripped off which makes dealing with the segment pretty unfriendly. I'm forced to move my policies because year 2 and 3 increases so I never become an established customer. Aside from the telcos I can't think of...
The crazy thing I experienced I was with Dalton Timmins and Avviva and shopped ended with Mantha and ..... Avviva lol

This industry is truly fecked with no rhyme or reason to the quotes. The FJR rate at 564 I'm assuming no collision is below anything I've ever seen ... but a 64% increase with that rationale is criminal

You'd be a good candidate for the Adjusto at The Personal with your car sitting unused. If you also don't drive after midnight you'd easily get 20% off your rate

TFX as well Toronto to Vancouver ... the only thing to be aware of is they want to deliver as soon as it gets to destination but overall I was happy with their professionalism

For those hooligans that monitor such things a handheld Ka gun was spotted on Hwy 11 near Gravenhurst. That would be a first for the OPP.

^ absolutely its to make money ... but they can do it by identifying and attracting a low payout customer base then they have a significant competitive advantage.
The future who knows. It would take a significant amount of public opinion to make these devices mandatory . Photo radar didn't...
Maybe but if the rates start out at a low baseline and all the bad risks are surcharged then I'm fine with that. I just don't want to subsidize high risk bad drivers on my premium.

Desjardins obviously disagrees with you that this type of empirical data is meaningless as they have invested millions in the device, app and discounts for drivers . But your racial slur does indicate something I think
Seriously don't we all want to be rated on our actual driving behaviour...
So currently I'm tracking at 16% discount plus my 5 % user discount.
It breaks down as 3% kilometres driven ~ 600 km last month, 8 % accelerate & breaking. 16 events and 5% drive time 60 low risk , 40 medium

So using the device only extends further discounts to my account which was already the best I could find. If my driving profile has a lower risk than the average why shouldn't I be compensated. The industry penalizes me for my postal code so this allows them to customize the premium in my...
I like mine not the app but the device.... Of course I Go Train to work so my car is my car isn't driven during commuting hrs or high risk late evening periods. The fast acceleration is bit low in my opinion but another 10% on top of the 5% to use it on what we pay in Ontario for insurance is...
