This happened more than few times when I was riding scooters in Vietnam. Dump trucks and 18 wheelers coming straight at me. I took it to the shoulder like everyone else and just tried not to stiffen up on the handlebars, let off the throttle and just try to stay in a straight line.

Agreed. It is mentally exhausting. I'm trying to look ahead and keep my eyes on the horizon but every time I get blown my focus is lost. Wind at night would be deadly.
JEEZ 19 pages. I really should have caught that one. I found out that my 250 speedometer is usually 7km faster that actual speed. I think it would be interesting to see how fast the average driver would drive without a speedometer. Going 100km in a new Cadillac feels a lot different then going...
When you get final quotes it might be a good idea to have vin numbers for the bikes you're looking at. I've read a couple people on here being quoted one rate before they know the VIN and then a different rate after they have given the VIN to State Farm.
