rode in to oshawa today (about 40 min ride) in leather jacket.. would've worn something else if I had it. Stopped by GP on the way home though.. some nice duc's in the parking lot.
Saw a guy riding blue ninja zzr600 south on Westney around 3:45 on friday. Had a UOIT backpack on.. was wondering if you still go there and if so do you know anyone else from the school that rides?
Touche lol
And I agree with only being able to work limited hours while in school. Through the year I’m a full time student and work approx. 12 hours a week.. any more than that and my marks would drop for sure.
I think what he meant was not that all kids have it easy but the ones that do are the idiots out there because they didn't grow up with any responsibilities. If that isn't what he meant then I agree with you as a lot of kids and young adults pay for their own expenses and work hard to do so.

I got my g1 in March of 2008 so I would've been 17 and I got my G earlier this year. The cars in my house are under allstate and they refuse to cover unless your 25 or have been riding for 2 years. Good idea with statefarm though I'll give them a call in the morning.
Maybe I'll tell allstate...
Alright so let me start off by saying that I am 21 years old and a new rider. Got my m1 earlier in the year and just completed the safety course for m2. I have my full G and have never had an accident or ticket.
Going by one of the stickys I called around in the fall last year to see what I...
Saw what I'm assuming to be a girl rider getting on 401 east at brock st. around 5:45pm on a nice pink bike. didn't have enough time to get a good look at the bike as i passed in my truck
Just to let everyone know.. I went and checked out a few bikes and fell in love with a 2006 gs500f. Bike has 12000km and has a yoshi exaust. I thought about it for a bit and decided to buy it! I'm excited to get out riding come spring!
That's why I said its one of my smaller reasons of getting a bike :)
The only reason I didn't want to go with the SV, which was my original choice, was because insurance companies are not going to want to insure me on anything 600 or over. And if they do I'm going to pay heavy costs. But yes I...
Thanks for the advice. I'll probably try and stay away from the 401 the first year as I can get to work/school by using steeles/taunton or highway 2. Right Now I'm hoping to not spend more than 4000 on the bike itself. I figured if I buy a sport/touring I'm looking at about 1500 a year.

Hey,
new to this forum and riding in general. Already got some advice from some of the members on this site and seems like I will be picking up a gs500f within a few months. Hoping to meet some of you over the next few years.
Take it easy,
Gord.
Seems like a lot of you are suggesting the gs500f.. I checked it out and it looks like a great bike! Some of the sites I went to said that its classified as a standard bike and not a sportbike. Is this true in Ontario? Cause that would be awesome lol
Thanks for all the advice! And yeah I'm not an idiot.. I'm fully aware that you can't act stupid on a bike, especially when your a beginner!
And I'm not sure if I'm down for a 125 lol
