The driver centre at Vic Park and Lawrence, in the rear at the east end where it widens, has the spots for cones spray painted on the ground. If I recall right there are two sets of markings, one square: one, just a sopt. The square ones are further apart and the instructor moved the cones out...
I got this answer after asking about the three "dishes" (approx. 12" dia) at some intersections. They are actuators for bicycles.

Thanks snecro. I thought I'd heard that somewhere. So I guess the idea is to sit directly above the "dots"?

At various intersections around the city I see, in the roadway, three circles the size of dinner plates spaced a foot or two apart. I read somewhere that these are sensors for bikes but I'm not so sure. Does anyone know just what these are for?
