Cost to get into the "sport"

Heyo~ Came across a post that said it's not "expensive" to get into motorcycles, you just need to be smart about it. I don't believe this, I want to know how much estimate should one have to save up before going out looking for bikes/insurance at age 20 and what are these "smart" money tactics...

Any interesting POI between Toronto & NYC

Curious, what are you doing with the bike after you get to nyc? Last time I've been, it was cheaper to take the greyhound to conneticut every day and get a hotel there then it was to stay in the city.

Requiring Motorcycles/Scooters to ride the lines?

If we all wheelied, we could fit more bikes in the lane thus solve rush hour traffic

    Just something for learning on

Your right x 2, to be fair all you see on the bikes is CBR (125 in small grey writing) and then a red R. Always had to get that orange repsol because we all know the stickers blessed you with the skill of a moto gp racer. Kinda regret taking the course, now I won't shut up about wanting a bike...

    Would you?

Not sure if it's just me but I rather pay in beers instead cash, makes me think that I'm spending less money but then again a bottle always seems to go missing.

Will pop in to say to make sure you check that the course does offer different bikes, places like Humber only offer one type of bike (250 CBR) and that it's worth it for the insurance savings alone.

New rider, saying hello and looking for rider friends

Curious about the track thing too, was testing my leans during the m1 course dual circle exercise and was able to do it at speed but the bumpy / hole ridden parking lot doesn't instill confidence. Also learned that shifting gears while leaning equals your foot meeting the road for the most part.
