Ontario should make winter tires mandatory.

I think skid pad training included in drivers training/as a req for getting a drivers license would be a better idea. Snow tires can give you more traction yes be it doesn't keep you out of skids all together.

Not sure if I will track my own bike, might look into taking a couple day/weekend course things as I don't have any track experience but definitely want some.

Well thanks everyone for your input! I sat on a couple CBRs and R6's. I did find the R6 a little more agressive than the CBR not unbearable though, but I wasn't riding. I ended up going with a CBR for those interested, should be picking up early next week.

That is a rather presumptuous thing to say. Because I haven't had a chance to sit on either I am automatically going to buy the first one I see? I created the thread to find out if there are any particular issues people have had with either bike. Many have been helpful in saying the R6 was...

This. I would definitely go for the bike if living in cali. As someone said above bike+A8. You have your bike and a somewhat interesting car.

I won't likely be doing too many long trips. For the most part I will be commuting and then taking tours on my days off. @TFAB I saw your buddy's R6 online just after it was post but I think the miles are a bit higher than what I am looking for (bike looks awesome though).

Hopefully checking out at least 1 cbr and R6 this week. The R6 looks are what keep me coming back to it, hopefully seeing/sitting on them in person will finalize this decision.

Yes I have kind of but the ins rates with the extra 75CCs will be too much. My current plan is CBR/R6 and then once rates drop an 848 EVO as its the most beautiful bike out there right now in my mind (675R is close though)

    2012 CRFF250X vs KTM 250 XCF

While I can't speak for off road Honda's, I do own a KTM 250SXF and its been awesome. All parts I have bought have been inexpensive (haven't had to buy anything major).

Yeah during the summer I see probably a cop for every 20 bikes that go by.

    WTB: 2005 to ~2009 Honda CBR600RR or Yamaha YZF-R6

Hey Guys and Gals, I'm looking to buy one of the above mentioned bikes. Less than 30000km is preferable but if its been well maintained I am fine with a few more km's on it. Leaning towards Reds, blacks, whites, or a combination of those. PM or Post here and we can workout a day to check the...

Ah 507, I work on a road that many take to get there. Sure its a sort of twisty road but what's the point with all the cops?
