my friend had this problem, I suggested removing the rev limiter so it wouldn't wear out(no one wants to buy a used bike with a worn out rev limiter) he thought about then decided to add a 7th gear instead, for highway use only of course.

They must have been quite large rain drops to get you stuck, I usually just drive right over them.

I usually add at least 1.75 liters of extra oil, especially when it rains or when its cold out. this adds an extra 1500 kms between oil changes, and my bike never steams in the rain.

I don't want the stock one its far too heavy like a boat anchor, and too quiet, I just want to quiet mine down a little bit not silence it

Just changed my oil today to motul synthetic. I'm not sure what was in there before but it wasn't syn. What a freakin difference. Engine is running crisper and shifting is far smoother can hear and feel the difference. I used oil made from motorcycles not cars BTW
