I'm not sure leather will be much (if at all) cooler. Your best bet, if this is important to you, is to buy a jacket that is full mesh or has mesh panels on it. When it's 30 degrees outside, you'll be hard-pressed to find a jacket that won't make you overheat in slow or stopped traffic.

Just to note, if you get a Vespa and do any of your tests with it, you will get a LSM licence (which, does not allow you to ride anything with 2 wheels that goes over 80 KM/h). If this is a concern to you, you will need at least a 125 CBR for the full licence. Are you planning to ride this in...

Yes, they can. Severance pay is pay they give you to skip the court process for dismissing you without a valid reason. It happens all the time in CorporateWorld (usually during cost-cutting initiatives).

I don't hate every person driving a car just because some of them do some stupid things, so why hate on every biker that pulls up with you at a stop? Define casual riding. Do you mean the occasional "get up and go" or do you mean a leisurely pace, lots of breaks, and conservative in the corners? Lots of good people to ride with in the east end, especially if you're willing to periodically venture a little ways away from home to meet up.

They're the things that look like a motorcycle from way off in the distance, until you see how slow they are moving. They must think they're driving a special type of motorcycle that doesn't require a licence, since they are always clogging up the "Motorcycles Only" parking spaces all the time...

What's the likelihood of going for a ride after this? After seeing how bad the forecast is for everyday except Saturday, I feel like it would be a waste not to take advantage of it. If you're riding somewhere afterwards, I'm most likely in.
