I have 2600km so far this year, I find my time.
If i were in a house and could wash it at will it would be different, but washing in a condo isnt possible.
It seems Wednesday is always rain day in Toronto. So far both have been rained on, which sucks becuase I dont take the bike out unless the roads are dry (cleaning it is a pain)
Hitting the kid was a very unfortunate accident and if it went down as written "darted into traffic" its hard to fully blame the rider. If he was drunk/high thats another story.
The bigger issue here is he was unlicensed and more importantly uninsured. That alone makes everything worse for...
I messaged the original campaign and haven't heard back. I also dont jave a response from GoFundMe, but have asked that question. I'll update once they respond.
Update: I just heard back and the refunds are being processed.
"All of your donations have been refunded. Your donors will be...
Another update. The family has agreed to accept the funds and any money that is not used in Radiuls recovery will be sent back to their home country to help other children that do not have care from hospitals like Sick kids. Radiul is still in very rough shape and will have a long, costly...
Thanks for the heads up. I found the page, and yesterday the below update was posted. I have turned off donations and have reached out to the other campaign to see if we can pass along the funds raised so far. If that isnt possible I will cancel and start the return process with GoFundMe...
As a new rider and soon to be father hearing about this story has really hit me, and everytime I turn on the TV, it seems to be airing. So I set up the page to get things going, however as mentioned I do have my first child coming within the month and know my kind will be elsewhere and wont...
Just please take it slow on that road. Lots of people in the area walking, running, walking dogs. I'm there every day waling my dog and have seen a few people almost hit by people flying through the park.
From what I've seen they encompass all of the worst parts of Cyclists, Motorocyclist, Drivers and Pedestrians; all without having to pay to use the roads like everyone else. I can't wait until insurance is mandatory. If one of those hit my wife, myself or one of our vehicles I dont want to be SOL.
As a new rider I love getting advice. I wont always ask for it, but someone who has more experience than me might just give advice that saves my life. There is a Tom of good and bad advice out there, it's my job to decide which is which.
That said, it matters how you go about it. A...
I have a matte black bucket and if it gets really dirty I do this:
STEP 1: Microfiber cloth with dish soap and hot water, scrub the finger print
STEP 2: With a 2nd microfiber cloth soak in hot water with wipe the suds clean
STEP 3: Use a 3rd dry microfiber cloth to dry
If the prints are minor...
I'm on a Vulcan 900 as my first bike and at that weight I'm not sure I would want a bigger engine. For a new rider I am very comfortable having grown up on bikes, but never had my own. A 1500 CC cruiser may be a bit much for a new rider.
I dont expect them to answer, I expect 1 of my 5 calls to be returned.
I am also not going to drive 30+ minutes to a shop and find out they dont have the part.
The good news is Snow City in Scarborough did answer the phone and within 2 minutes had the part ordered for me. I pick them up...
I have also had a horrible experience with Ready Honda/Powersports.
I'm looking for some fender bolts and have now called them 5 times over the past week. Each time I have been on hold for 10-15 minutes before leaving a message. Not once have they returned a call. Its shocking how...
I'm confused as to why it has to be one or the other? Why not give yourself ththe best opportunity to survive? I always sit off to the side of the lane and not right up on a bumper. I also constantly check my mirrors and when I see a car approaching I stay glued to the mirror, just in case.
I rode a 3 wheels scooter in Barcelona and you still had to put your feet down. You also can't learn into turns the same, its a very weird feeling. Calling this a bike is a big stretch.
