I feel your message was just and polite indeed. perhaps just the request for more pictures could have rubbed him the wrong way because he does have many pics of the bike up. But still, he's trying to sell the bike, he should be willing to entertain a prospective buyer and answer their questions...

so true. this winter destroyed the roads. i think the ice storm had much to do with this. there definitely a bunch of pot holes ive driven over that could do some damage to a motorcycle.

from a google search i did on this i read its going to be a long dry summer.... but Ive alread that this winter was so whacky due to the nuclear reactors blowing up in japan... who knows though.... just what I heard...

yeah this is a well discussed topic.... But I do love listening to guys who have never been on a bike say they are going to jump on a 600cc+ SS bike as their first bike.... ...they just dont get it.... ...yes, the small % of them may be able to do it... but your learning curve is super slow...

I wouldn't do it unless i knew the customer well enough do decide whether it would be appropriate or not. its really up to you though. Showing up on a bike shouldnt matter if you are presentable and ready for your sales meeting, but as many others mentioned, unfortunately it may be perceived...

I emailed him earlier too, saying something along the lines of "dude your bike is worth 8500$!!! dont let it go for $4500, ull loose money!!" ....no response :P
