My wife bought an '07 DR200 which has the original tires. (!) There are a set of Shinko 705 (dual sport) tires that seem perfect but when I use the original sizes (knobbies) I can't find many tires. Will the Shinkos work?
Stock are:
Front - 70/100-21 44P
Rear - 100/90-18 56P
And the Shinkos I...
I didn't mean to mis-characterize your post. But the part about having difficulty convincing Mary-Margaret is how I think what non riders will be like, in fact that is my experience too.

This is a great post DDean. I love the free parking but am hard pressed to defend it if I am totally honest. While I haven't collected all my thoughts into one cohesive discussion here are a few things I have in my head. There needs to be some framework about reduced rates, or if all spots are...
And for those that don't have the 'Cloud to Butt' extension installed, you miss out on fun like this:
"The idea of butt backups annoys me greatly."
and
"I backup to my butt."
hee hee. Small things amuse small minds and all that...

Yep. But maybe a RAID1 mirrored array would work. But higher levels will be problematic. We had an (at the time) expensive Fiber Channel SAN system at my company from HP, RAID 5. Two drives failed in quick succession. RAID was f$%&*d. High level engineers at HP were on the case and could allow...
Pretty much what I use, though I feel the mac is wasted sitting there for the occasional video we watch. I hadn't looked at the Plex on NAS for a while but a few years ago it was looking like it was getting better and better.
As for Synology, I had a simple one when they first launched many...
I used them last year for my KTM Duke. Let me start by saying that I hate walking onto a sales floor and constantly being accosted by sales creeps, so I appreciated GPs understated ways. When I called and talked to someone emails were answered quickly and parts / service prices were provided...
I was thinking of a similar ride, but heard that the Manitoulin ride is pretty nice. Pennsylvania sounds like a neat option.
While I hardly have a touring bike - 690 Duke - I like the challenge of minimalist packing.

I know you already narrowed it down to three, and maybe you already ruled out the ABBA skylift but I wonder why people always go to scissor lifts. These seem so much more useful. Am I missing something?

Did I miss where he said HTA can't be amended? The link from iFly55 only has the MPP as indicating that under current laws you cannot ride a motorcycle in them.

Artois, understood. But for the cost of postage I can hope for a lenient person and a hundred bucks back. Maybe it never happens, I don't know, but I am an optimist.

Neil V - I might just try that and see if it sticks. I'll use '4203.21.90 Specially designed for use in Sports - Other'. It's not like I'll be wearing this to the movies or anything.
But I suspect as Artois said, it is a leather jacket and that lists for 13%.
I've had good luck from Germany...
I ordered a 2 piece leather suit from the US and was charged tax (of course) and duties (argh).
They calculated the duties at 13%. I have loaded the Duty book PDF from CBSA and looked up the code they used 4203 and see this:
-----
4203.10.00 -Articles of apparel 13%
CCCT, LDCT, UST, MT...
I have one and it is a total blast to ride. If you do long highway miles probably not the best but twistys, commuting, blasting around it is hard to beat. That is a great price too!
