    Change of Hearts

Don't know how much time you've spent on the katana, but over the course of riders' ed, you get really used to the bike you've trained on. Every aspect of your 16 year old katana will be different than that of a new cb300 (clutch, brakes, power, wheelbase, etc, etc.). If you want to keep the...

Hit a dog running away from his owner. How should I proceed?

In the situation I described, the owner picked up his dog (after I canvassed the street to find out who the owner was) and started walking away. I had to go after him to get his info. As crappy as it is to do harm to an animal, it's the owner who is to blame; not you. Your insurance company...

Hit a dog running away from his owner. How should I proceed?

My car was t-boned by a dog a few years back. The owner was 100% resonsible, so my insurance company went after his. No cost to me. Might be different because the dog hit me as opposed to me hitting the dog. Unfortunately, the dog hit me hard enough that it had to be put down due to its injuries.

options for a low displacement retro styled new bike?

I briefly had a tu250 and really liked it. My wife has a Sym scooter, and although I have no issue or concern with the build quality, and it is mechanically and excellent bike, resale on a Sym will not be half as easy as on the TU-250. Also, as previously mentioned, parts and service are way...

    Jacket Recommendations for Toronto

Best jacket is the one you'll actually wear. get a warmer one to start the season, then add a mesh or perf leather as the weather warms up. Always good deals on used on this site or Kijiji, so no reason you can't have both.

New riders: should we armour up?

Picked up my bike from storage beginning of last season which had new tires put on before I picked it up. Got overconfident making a hard left turn without scrubbing the tires first and went down after hitting some leftover winter debris; first time down in 5 yrs, 70 000 ish kms. Slid a solid 30...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

A couple of big adventure touring bikes (KTM? BMW?) headed West on the 401 yesterday (saturday) just West of the 407. Made me dislike my car even more than usual.

Advanced Rider Training, Why dont you take it?

Location, location, location. Nothing I've found in London. Would love to take dirt and track courses, but would need to travel 3 hrs each way (ish) to take them. Was thinking about grand bend, but it doesn't look like there are actually classes or rentals there.

Fired up heated liner from Velocity

Hey guys, after a few commutes in 3 deg weather, I thought I'd share my thoughts on my new heated liner: It rocks! Construction quality seems quite good, and fit is spot on. It warms up quickly and gets hot, but not burn hot. I was skeptical about how well it would work for me, as my jacket is...

    Thermal Gear Really Thermal?

I wear these as base layer. Very good quality and really comfortable and keeps me warm without getting hot. I like the high neck on the tops for keeping wind from going down my neck. I wear the bottoms on really cold days under pants and riding pants, but since I got the heated liner from...

    Surprise on an On Ramp

A few weeks ago I was traveling south on the DVP and I saw a big honking matress laying flat in the middle of the northbound lanes. That would ruin your day. Soft landing though

    Surprise on an On Ramp

Everything seems to smell of skunk around here these days between the roadkill and a tiny terrier who is too dumb to learn that the skunk living under our deck will always win in a pi$$ing contest. The only thing on my bike that gets cleaned is the chain and related parts, the windscreen, and...
