    Kawi Wednesdays!!!

I've missed months of this, it makes me sad. I'm hoping there is a meet or ride in the works tonight, I would love to come out.

    Motogp 2013

Woah... He's still on a GP bike, he gets his factory support, his factory salary, and at least the chance to make something of the late Desmo's. Not hard to see why he moved, but I was just getting used to seeing him run with the pack.

    Stator Cover Nightmare

August 7th? So glad you said that - I called up the shop looking to pickup the rest of the stuff I ordered, and they let me know the same thing about the cover. I don't know if I trust that anymore, to be honest, but I'm stuck to dealing with this on weekends so I may just wait. What's...

    Stator Cover Nightmare

A weld it is - it's such a thin, small crack that it sounds like that should do the trick just fine. As for sourcing locally, that's the one thing I've tried a whole bunch of. I have all the other parts I need, just not this one. Thanks for tips!

    Stator Cover Nightmare

I've checked eBay and cannot find much, to be completely honest. Kijiji and Craigslist, too. Most would involve paying through the nose to cross the boarder, not to mention the time. I'm really hoping for something just a little faster, given I've already lost a month.

I suspected as much. That would be my saving grace.

Motorcycle License: possible to get in Ontario, when living in BC?

If she's just visiting, I don't believe any of this is necessary. She needs permanent residence to get licensed in Ontario - otherwise she can just user her existing license (for whatever class it specifies). Imaging road-tripping across Canada and having to get licensed in each province...

    Stator Cover Nightmare

Hey everyone. I'll try to be brief. I've spent the last month patiently waiting on a new stator cover for my 08 Ninja 250R, as I ended up putting a crack in my existing one. This had resulted in a slow but dangerous oil leak, as the drip finally started to run off my fairing and spray the left...

using low viscosity rated oil in summer (ie: 5w-40 instead of 10w-40)

Come now. There may not be a direct and immediate engine failure as a result of using improper oil, but the impact will be noticed in the long term. The difference between a bike engine lasting 80,000km vs 50,000km is found with the use of proper oil and changes.

    Kahuna's add 7-11-2013

Christ. You're either hard as nails or a little sissy. It is possible to have an opinion without being personally offended or entirely indifferent. It was a crappy ad, as far as ads go. There are so many better reasons to own a bike (small displacement, SS, or otherwise), the least of which to...

    BMW Demo Ride

Oh, I read the description. But this is the internet, you shouldn't believe everything you read. Even the link in description, while (poorly) translated, makes no mention of the bike being a BMW. It does say a bike from a showroom, so I guess this is just splitting hairs at this point. In...

So disappointing Lorenzo won't be racing. I'm hoping Rossi can keep a Yamaha in the running, throw some blue up front.

    who needs an injection

It is illegal to commit suicide, illegal to request your own death, but we should be offering addicts the option to safely kill themselves slowly? The hell? The idea is that our tax money is supposed to fund someone else's drug addiction, in hopes that we won't have to use that tax money to...

Why are hardcore Toronto bicyclists ******-bags?

All bicycles should be sold with lights and bells, given that they are a legal requirement (and a very good idea to have). Pamphlets should also come with all new bikes, outlining local and provincial laws, proper road etiquette, and all potential penalties for infractions. A large part of the...

    Kahuna's add 7-11-2013

It was just distasteful and tactless - as a marketing campaign. It was never meant to be a joke to gain laughs, it was meant to sell bikes. But, it is likely getting more laughs than it is selling bikes, so cheers to that :p

Bought bike from a shady stealership. Need advice.

It's hardly a bad idea, just ill-advised. If you can afford it, why not? Factory warranty, no mysterious history, and brand new everything. Wrecking it would not be pleasant, that much is true, but if you've got the money to spend...

Why are hardcore Toronto bicyclists ******-bags?

Haha, okay, I may have exaggerated the weight - perhaps ~20lbs is more accurate, but that still serves my point just as well. I ride a Rapid 2, and it is certainly no heavy-weight.

    BMW Demo Ride

Hardly. "Rider hits truck in oncoming lane" would have been accurate. Nothing about this video speaks to the rider being on a BMW or being on a demo ride :P. That being said... that was brutal.

Why are hardcore Toronto bicyclists ******-bags?

Consider the taxes you pay to drive on the road a means of funding fixes and repairs for those roads. Vehicle traffic plays a huge role in the degradation of roads, naturally, because they are tonnes of steal running over the same strip of concrete over and over again, for days, and months, and...
