I did that on my trip as well. Used the socks/underwear until i thought they were too dirty and then tossed them. Unless i stayed in a hotel where they had laundry.
I went to California last summer which is not the trail you're asking about but it was a long trip (double yours) so maybe this will be helpful.
1) A full face is much better for rain/bugs/dirt
2) I took my textile jacket and a rain suit. The textile is much more comfortable and can get wet...
Pikes peak was pretty cool. We went through the mountains from Glenwood Springs down to aspen to pikes peak and then Colorado Springs. Then you can take HWY 25 back up to Cheyenne(270km).
This is what i would do. https://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?msid=207742217644948019374.0004d8b5e13e685bb6577&msa=0
Denver to Mississauga in 2 days. 2400KM (1200/day)
Columbus, OH to las vegas in 4 days. 3520KM (880/day) With stops in St. Louis, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam to see the sights.
May not sound like much but try doing it on a sport bike. The multiple long days is what gets you. Climbing up and down...
It becomes a terrible situation for anyone living in the area. In my high-school of about 3000 kids there was 112 white kids. Not great when there is fighting based on race/social groups. It was also a bit stupid how we had so many kids in our school but the funding for most after school...
I had the stock Pirelli angels on my monster for over 16,000 km. The only reason i had to change the rear was because about 10,000km was highway and the middle got flat in the rear. I still have the front on and it has over 20,000km.
I was going to buy those bottle as well. The problem is the capacity. The 1L bottles hold like 750mL. You have to carry 3-4 i think to be safe.
I just did this instead. It was $55
My grass is usually the most green on my street. Don't cut it too short. Leave the clippings on the lawn.
I see my neighbor cut their grass once a week and cut it almost in half, Dump a bag of fertilizer on it and then water it every day. The he walks over to me and asks why mine is greener...
I have talked to a few people and this is apparently a good tent for the money. http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/Tents/3SeasonTents/4Person/PRD~5027-696/mec-camper-4-tent.jsp
I'm not sure if it is in all monsters but mine seems to have some sort of plastic looking coating on the inside. The inside looks much darker/smoother than the outside.
I use voip.ms every single day for my business on 3g. No problems here. Maybe it has something to do with your hardware?
Plus the $5/mo is for unlimited calling. There is a $1/mo that keeps your number and it's $0.015 per minute. If you are going to use less than 266 minutes a month go with the...
I was in gym class playing basketball. I had an argument with a kid who wanted me to sub off even tho i just got on. Trying to be the bigger person i turned to walk away. He punched me in the back of the head twice. I turned around while swinging and caught him in the jaw. I got suspended for...
I specifically bought the Monster knowing that i was going to ride it to California the first season. The more you love the bike the more forgiving you will be about tiny things. Yes it's hot when sitting in traffic. Yes it needs to have the valves checked frequently. I love the look and feel of...
