I don't know about the cbr specifically, but a valve check that early sounds nuts! I'd ask around on that before getting it done..... First service should be lube pivot points, adjust chain, change oil.. Can't think of much else they would do for a Chain driven jap bike..

I couldn't agree more.. I'm sure there are plenty of IT admins (including myself). That would have been happy to help fix the issue. Deleting posts didn't solve anything. It may have helped with the speed for now.. But the posts aren't stopping and we will be in the same place in a few months...

I have navigon on my bike/iPhone ... I can't stand it... It's not fast to just browse the map and look for a twisty, it takes 100000 taps to do anything. He poi search sucks. Having company logos on the map is cool but slows down the refresh time. I've yet to find one that beats a 90 dollar...

How can you say it's easy to do? Yes the actual measuring is easy... But you have to take apart half the engine, half the plastics, gas tank.. Blah blah.. And then put it all back together. Have you not seen 95%of the technical questions on this site and most others?? People have problem...
