Friendly warning to my fellow veefer / biker, you are about to get a big ticket

Look at the curb there is a yellow line. Although it is getting erased slowly you can see it. It runs to the pole on the right in the picture. One guy on the right is definitely in a bad spot, second guy will probably get a ticket to meet the quota, other two are fine.

    Best downtown ride?

I like riding down the DVP on a beautiful cool morning when traffic is flowing. How to experience this. Ride your bike to work EVERY morning for 2 years. You will surely experience ONE day like this. Unless you skip a day and then that was probably the day you would have experienced it. :p

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Saw you on Eglinton Avenue this morning, thought you were a scooter. But nope you were on a motorcycle and every other driver was swearing at you because for some reason you thought you would get in the HOV lane and then drive slower than the backed up other lanes. What was going on? It is up...

Man, 62, murdered over scooter/car collision.

Why do I bother. The woman committed the act in 2004. 2010 - 6 years (it is in the story, first line) Simple law concept is that the law applies that was in force when you committed the act not when you are convicted. Yep that means people who committed crimes back 30 years ago are judged by...

Man, 62, murdered over scooter/car collision.

Although I understand Craneopbru's original opinion, the "absolutely right" part is stretching it. The government in 2010 removed the 2 for 1 time spent in jail before trial credit. It is was called the Truth in Sentencing Act (Bill C-25). So he sort of right but really wrong.

    Stoplight Sensors

There was a court case quite a few years back in Nova Scotia in which a guy ticketed with a running a red argued exactly this. He had waited and the light did not change and so he proceeded to go. The judge agreed that since after a reasonable amount of time the light has not changed the...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

Looking at everything that has been said here brings a lot of thoughts. I took my M2 exit at RTI. The instructors were great and the bikes all worked great. For the final it was repeated many times that we could choose any bike we wanted to take the test on. i cannot believe for two days you...

Anyone passing through Niagara Falls, NY in near future? Need a package picked up

Although I am happy that you found someone, I was hoping for more of a classic GTAM debate with flaming, overreaction, interpretation of posts that no person sane or otherwise would ever make, insults that you have not heard since Archie Bunker was on the air and the other amazing stuff that...

Anyone passing through Niagara Falls, NY in near future? Need a package picked up

Ummm wouldn't it be more bringing a "package" back over the border for someone? I don't know the OP so not a comment about them but there is surely a risk there, no?

    I Saw You: V.2.0

This morning westbound on the 401 at Meadowvale(??) was it you that hit him or he hit you? I thought you were two hitchhikers till I saw you bike parked on the shoulder. Couldn't you have convinced the cager to move his vehicle out of the live lane to the shoulder also? I guess he thought Gil...

Quit our jobs, sold our home and everything in it, gone riding...

Okay 1. I was hoping for a better story as to why you are in Toronto than that. Like Castro wanted to keep your bikes. You were in a Cuban jail for saying bad things about their tourist industry. etc etc and so on. 2. I like how you are slowly dripping the story of the ride out to us so we...

Why ?! Why would you brake check someone when your on the bike ?

Actually the (sort of) humourous part is the guy does not go check how the motorcyclist is but checks the damage to his front end.

I saw you ( speed trap version)

Okay this area has been a speed trap forever. They used to use the long slip road off the 401 but about 8 years ago moved to that hotel. My friend got a ticket there, I laughed so hard, told him he deserved it for getting caught there. There is no specific day or time when the tax collectors...

    Shell/Gas Station Rant

I think you need to drive north before making this comment. ;) The West Rougers may have a quarrel with you including this area in their community. :o ps. I go to the Petro Queen further up Kingston Road. It is full serve but I fill it myself while sitting on my bike... and chatting with...
