How much are you paying for Rogers ? Did you consider paying $10 more to make your current package unlimited? You can also downgrade on speed, while upgrading to unlimited on a lower package, which should be cheaper than your current one...

At 22, it was too much to insure with Careless on record ($5000+). At 23, it was over $2000 with Careless for 2009 Ninja 250 (Jevco through Cornerstone). At 24, without Careless, it was $900 with TDMM At 25, with TDMM $600.

My friend bought a red 2012 CBR250 @ 2013kms not dropped for $2800 in July, so I find it hard to think it's a good deal if it's $2800 with damages in mid winter... It's all about demand and supply I guess.

My poor FZ6 was already written off by my insurance due to getting rear-ended shortly before this trip, so I could care only so much about the salt. People with chrome seemed hesitant to leave the asphalt when I was there. The rest were fine with it =)

I would not skip Rocky Mountain National Park. It's got the potential to be the highlight of the journey, IMO. Instead of starting purple part at Pikes Peak, I'd modify it through Loveland, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park then to Pikes Peak, perhaps via Mt Evans since its on the way...

At the KTM Asia factories, engines are not only built for KTM, but also for Bajaj. Some Bajaj bikes are mechanical twins of the Duke series with Bajaj logos on them, sold for much less. Bajaj as it stands is the most selling motorcycle in the World. So KTM is not moving anywhere I think...

I know what you are saying and I agree with it, but escaping into another lane is not always the clean resolution to the problem. Developing danger on one lane can quickly spread into the next. For instance, in the OP video, imagine the motorcyclist moving to middle lane as soon as the rider...

+1 IMO, it is the correct action to not brake right away and ride off the danger zone and 5 cars ahead, because, if there is a loaded truck behind (or an inattentive high speed vehicle) that will not be stopping nowhere near in time, I want to be as away as possible from that danger zone...
