    Explosion rocks Boston Marathon

Jesus. I guess it's inevitable that the crazies and scumbags will exploit a tragedy to push their pet conspiracy theories and political biases. And that picture is a friggin' joke. What the hell is it supposed to show? Only an idiot would think that terrorists would go out of their way to look...

Car ownership trend in richmond hill

I don't see much in the way of judgemental thinking, other than "don't live beyond your means". If you can afford your car, great. Most people here are referring to people who are in debt to their eyeballs yet feel the need to have a luxury car in order to sustain a certain image.

Car ownership trend in richmond hill

I bought myself a new Mazda3 two years ago and for me that was the height of luxury. To each their own, but I have far better things to spend my hard earned $$ on than a fancy car. Something that gets me from point A to B and is somewhat reliable is good enough for me.

Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't"

Re: Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't Ooooh, sexist potshots, eh? Real class there. The "assumption" was based on your own comments regarding the case.

Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't"

Re: Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't Have you actually read anything about this? Because it certainly doesn't sound like you know much about her story. Look, we (the public) don't know enough about this case to bash/defend the cops either way...

Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't"

Re: Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't I don't think we're doing enough to educate this generation on what exactly constitutes "sexual assault", and "consent". Clearly, looking at eerily similar stories in the media shows that these attackers don't...

Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't"

Re: Anonymous solves rape case that took Nova Soctia and RCMP a year to say "We can't ^Uhhh I'm a little more concerned that we've created a society where teenage boys think it's acceptable to rape a drunk girl and then find it hilarious to send the pictures to the entire world. Or an entire...

    Record profits aren't enough

And as for RBC's claim that they're doing everything they can to help these employees 'transition' and find positions elsewhere in the company - complete baloney, according to my neighbour.

    Record profits aren't enough

The Twitterverse is going crazy over this story right now. I'm not sure if social media is enough to change RBC's plan, but there are plenty of people claiming that they're en route to pull their accounts. That, and their stock dropped in value today (I don't know enough about the stock market...

    Record profits aren't enough

One my neighbours is one of the employees being laid off. She's worked for RBC for over 30 years. She's not really in a position to retire yet. Yay global economy! I'd really like to see this story go viral and start creating public relations nightmares for these companies. Slashing away at the...

    Working out! Fitness! Nutrition!

Mina - I think it'd be helpful for you to let us know what your current diet looks like. It will probably be far easier to give tips on tweaking your current lifestyle rather than creating an entire regime for you. There may be some very obvious things you can do to shed some weight i.e. cutting...

Nurse values her job more than life ? I'm sorry saving her life is against our policy

Re: Nurse values her job more than life ? I'm sorry saving her life is against our This. People are all up in arms as if this nurse's lack of action doomed this woman to die. CPR gives an inkling of a chance for someone to be revived, but the chances are very slim. Performing CPR on a 90...

    100+ crashes

I got about 2 minutes in. Russians sure do listen to funny music! That ATV one was pretty funny too. :lmao: Some of those crashes were clearly caused by moron cagers, but there were so many where the riders seemed to have ZERO idea what they're doing.

    Define success

Definitely true! How many of us use the people we grew up with as benchmarks when looking at our own lives? "Well at least I didn't end like so-and-so who's still a major pothead and lives in mom's basement..."

    Define success

Well, 'success' can be looked at on a micro or a macro scale. i.e. small goals that we set and then succeed in, vs succeeding overall at life. But again, what looks like success to one particular person may not look so successful to someone else. Can someone be considered successful if they...

    Define success

Success can be a meaningless term, as there is no standardized way to measure it IMO. Happiness is something worth striving for, but can't be measured by income or material goods. That's not to say that financial stability isn't a good starting point for someone looking to grow in other areas of...
