Ask me anything about Real Estate

It's important to clarify what you mean by "risky." I presume you mean your payments will spike/double with a variable (floating) rate? That's a misconception. You can get a variable rate mortgage with a payment to absorb small interest rate hikes... meaning your payment does not change, but...

Got it! We are FB connected. Been lurking on the board from time to time, reading over hubby's shoulder. Figured it was time to jump back in!

Ask me anything about Real Estate

Wow Addy, blast from the past! I haven't been on this board much in quite a while. How are you, dude?!? Real Estate is a wild ride these days. Hats off to you for keeping your sanity through these last several months especially. Mortgages have seem some big changes in the last month. Some...

    RACE Round 5 - Sept 1st-2nd

Fab, D. Been too long. You'll be easy enough to recognize. I'll be looking for the guy spanking everyone on the track. I'll be the slow chick in novice shaking off the rust and learning to ride track again.

    RACE Round 5 - Sept 1st-2nd

Recip, will you be there Friday? Edit: 43 posts??? I used to have many more back in my heyday on GTAM. Methinks there was a system reset at some point... maybe in 2008!

    Shannonville?

"TLDeano"? Who the heck is that?!?!? ;) I was holding out as best as I could, but in the end Rick and I are postponing. Unfortunately, I'm not in town for Thanksgiving or else I would have been all over the TMP weekend. Fingers crossed Oct 29 will still be warm, but the odds are small. Linda...

LF: Canopy tent bag for 10'x10' tent

Looking for the nylon carry bag for a 10'x10' canopy tent, the kind of canopy one uses at the track. The bag needs to be heavy nylon and have wheels. PM me if you have one kicking around your house that you want to unload. Cheers, Marla Sample image:

Best tires for end of season track days?

Thanks John. You're the authority. Food for thought. What about running good street tires on the track, and not pushing. Will that increase the odds in my favour of ending the day with bike and body intact? Also, would "good" street tires for this be Pirelli Super Corsas? I'd rather look...

Best tires for end of season track days?

Rick and I co-own the bike. No tire warmers. We have slicks and rains. We're not aggressive riders... yet. Certainly don't want to overdo it this late in the season if the tires have reduced grip. Temps will be whatever Mother Nature throws at us, but for average day temps... probably around 18C...

Best tires for end of season track days?

Could you elaborate on that? Why would it be the opposite for Dunlops? Inquiring minds want to know.

Most comprehensive track day listings for Ontario?

Hi guys, I wondered if there were other sites that aggregated listings for track days in Ontario asides from www.ontariotrackdays.com. I got the impression they were missing a few (but I could be wrong). Thanks, BC

Importing a Motor Vehicle To Canada (the be all end all)

Check on the Michigan crossing (Detroit or Port Huron) you will use and how you can send them the title. Previous posters were correct (fax or email the title) but the offices at the different crossing points are not uniform. The Michigan crossings may not allow you to email the info, whereas...

Crossing the border with a trackbike... ??

Hey guys, I just called the border services agency (I never expected to get through), and you were both right on the money. They don't need a bill of sale or the Ontario ownership, they just need to see the bike in person to grant a Y38. The Y38 proves that the bike originated in Canada and you...

Crossing the border with a trackbike... ??

Thanks. One of the bikes I am looking at is in Canada and has a clean title from the US. Sounds like I still qualify for a Y38 without having an official ownership papers from MTO. Would a bill of sale as a paper of agreement between buyer and seller do? Or does it matter as I could have just as...

Crossing the border with a trackbike... ??

Hi guys, I thought I'd post this in the track section because it's specific to track bikes. For those of you who own track bikes and have crossed the border with them, do the border guards ask for proof of ownership, or other form of documentation (please elaborate)? How often? Which side asks...

2007 GSXR750 vs. 2005 GSXR750... any major differences? (track bike question)

Thanks for the reference... I checked WikiP before posting my question. I didn't note much of a difference, but I wanted to hear/read it from riders who would have more knowledge about the real-world difference and handling between the two bikes, and not rely only on a re-drafted tech list.
