The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Wow, they have had that in stock all summer at about $4995. According to earlier ads, it has an aftermarket muffler. If you don't call dibs, I might have to pay them a visit.

OPP: Number of fatal motorcycle collisions in GTA 'very alarming'

That cannot be the reason! Blame the BMWs--the sedans, not the bikes

The Riders Who Won't Wave Back...

    Calling Cruiser Owners!

I have noticed online that people with Honda Shadows and Star 650s love their bikes, so the chances are that you'd be happy with a shadow. A quick google search tells me that the v-twins have quarter mile times in the high 15-second range, while the Vulcan S is in the low 13s. If you feel the...

183 in a 70. Another big ticket in Markham.

IKR, if you are going to **** around like that, why stop halfway? Don't do the crime if you aren't willing to risk a high-speed chase. Mask your license plate before you pull out of the driveway. Leave your helmet at home I don't know the area very well, but there must surely be lots of...

What is the best all around motorcycle in your opinion?

Honda Cub, of course! One of the best-selling bikes ever made, and they run forever.

Thinking of a new used ADV style bike, what are your thoughts?

I like the look of the Honda ST1300 and I've heard that they are great bikes. Honda reliability, the price is in your range, suitable for long rides on the freeway, good handling.

    CBR500R - Good Deal?

OP's first, last, and only post is at the beginning of this thread. He (or whatever his pronouns might be) seems to have no interest in discussing his question.

What is the best all around motorcycle in your opinion?

Highway cruising? I expect an ST1300, a Goldwing or an F6B would all be pretty good at that.

Is there a way to repair a dent/scratched stainless exhaust shield?

I have never done this or seen it done, but I was wondering, would it help if you heat up the metal before you hammer it, or would that ruin the chrome?

Going to Algonquin. What are the must ride roads?

I have heard mention of Elephant Lake Rd and Peterson Rd. http://ridethehighlands.ca/en/routes/elephant-lake-road-and-peterson-road/30 I have also heard good things about the Dyno Road. Northbound from highway 28, just a bit north of Apsley. Connects with 118 a after a few miles.

It makes me wonder whenever I see a nice older adventure touring bike with less than 10K km on it. If I were willing to drive to Ottawa, I'd be interested in it myself (of course, the drive back would be the best part of the trip)

It looks like something you would see in a steam plant. That grey paint reminds me of CTC Tremclad rust paint.

    CBR500R - Good Deal?

Good point. That reminds me...a naked bike is harder to break than one with plastic/fibreglass fairings.

    Mayweather vs. McGregor

Yep, Mayweather will have the advantage of competing at his own best sport. IIRC, they are using heavy gloves, too. If not for that, McGregor's best hope would be a knockout. All Mayweather will have to do is backpedal and defend, which I've heard he is good at, while running up his point...

    CBR500R - Good Deal?

If I could pick up a new CB500X for that price, I would likely go for it. Apples and oranges, I suppose. That price probably doesn't include, freight, PDI, and taxes. Get a firm quote from a dealer and from an insurance broker before you make a decision.

    Buying first toolset

I am shopping for torque wrenches, too. I'm not too sure that it matters, but the Maximum brand only has a 1-year warranty. Sometimes they offer the corresponding Stanley wrenches for the same price, but with a lifetime warranty.
