British biker girl on the radio

Totally did not want to meet up, but on a completely unrelated note... if they ever send those emails out I am pretty sure I will go to sausagefest.

British biker girl on the radio

According to her... the teeth are good. And disease free to boot (again self proclaimed)

British biker girl on the radio

Very likely. Chances are she doesn't ride either, but can't hurt to ask. After all, what's the worst that can happen?

FTA Satellite... school me on what's going on these days

That was implied and both abbreviate to the same thing. Anyone who knows what they are talking about would not assume 1080i@120 fields/s (1080i@60 frames/s deinterlaced) as such a format is not used anywhere.

FTA Satellite... school me on what's going on these days

Saying that "Uncompressed HD video at 60fps is about 3gb/s" does not make any sense without context. Since video data has to be digitized you have to specify what encoding and compression is used (and if it is lossless or lossy), the resolution, the bitrate and interlaced vs. progressive. By...

FTA Satellite... school me on what's going on these days

FTA = free to air. Except for NASA and some advertisisements there were never any FTA channels in North America. All other channels were not FTA and watching them was and is illegal. Those channels were heavily encrypted. The providers had every infrastructure to bill people and they could and...

FTA Satellite... school me on what's going on these days

EFnet is where most main stream sketchiness happens on IRC. The rest are more underground and private but I always found EFnet is a good place to start and then you need to find the right people to invite you to the right places.

FTA Satellite... school me on what's going on these days

Actually that is not true about compression. Satellite HD from Bell and Dish were both completely uncompressed MPEG2 (either 1080i or 720p). Satellite HD was by far the best HD you can get anywhere until BluRay and HD-DVD came about. Standard definition was also uncompressed 480p, but the...

    Re-upholster a seat / Custom seats

Thanks for all the replies. After getting some quotes and ideas I figured that it's going to be too expensive to get the entire seat done (even the tiny passenger seat). I am now considering either replacing the foam myself or creating a cover, but I am running into some difficulties finding...

Copy of the M Test (M2X) checklist!

Just did my M2Exit in Brampton and the route was exactly like shown in the videos (differs very slightly from the maps... they take you further north up Kennedy to the flashing yellow light and make you turn left there). Was really hot so I kept my visor open for all the street riding before the...

Anyone want to come by and help with flushmount signal install?

If you read the other thread that you started regarding the same exact thing, there are numerous options. My personal vote would be resistors for each set of LEDs (so 4). I'd go with normal resistors which cost cents at any electronics store and once proven to work I'd get the specialized...

    Flushmount signals continued help!!!

Who could have thought that google will have the answer </sarcasm> http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=80038 Just one of many many links that suggests that relay needs to be replaced. Odd because my flushmounts came with the special resistor and it made for a much easier install...

    Flushmount signals continued help!!!

Your kit should have come with it's own resistor (one for each side) to provide correct load and help LEDs not burn out. The use of said resistor (usually they are covered in ceramic of some sort) makes your LED behave like a regular light bulb (assuming that's what was in there originally)...

    iPhone vs Blackberry vs Android

What about Windows Phone 7? At least they do what apple does and stick to using unified OS so that all apps work on all phones. Problem with android is that some of the apps don't even support some phones. Everybody runs their own version of the OS and developers don't necessarily support every...

    Re-upholster a seat / Custom seats

Does this cover actually make the seat softer? I've seen the no-slip covers, but nothing with any real gel padding or anything like that. I've been thinking of making my own too.
