Toronto anti-Uber protest - These TO taxi drivers are #@$%!!!!

Uber is here to stay. Even if the cabbies succeed in their current quest, they'll eventually be replaced by driverless cars which are coming. Telematics and mobile technology has a lot more capabilities than most people think in how we drive and transport people.

i'm in between -7 & -8. Basically without glasses, everything is blurry, but I can make out shapes. btw, i like polarized lens. I felt my eyes get less tired from the normal glares... maybe it's just me.

    Clearly.ca Rx Sunglasses

OP, I also have a strong RX and love my prescription polarized sunglasses. I had ordered from Clearly before, no issues. If anything, you can always pop in their store on Queen Street. I got my RX sunglasses done like a regular pair of glasses. I didn't like the oakley-ish frames because...

    Good alternative to Icon helmets?

Check out the SHARK S700 series with built-in visors. If you hate the swapping with ICON, you'll hate Arai. Shoei is very straight forward, same with Bell (you can also get the transitioned visor with Bell). If it's price point you worry about, HJC is good.

    Consumer Rights?

To the OP: Hope it works out for you. It's a pretty tough go since you'd signed the papers. Expensive lesson no doubt. I don't want to discourage you, but the small claims court route can be frustrating. I know sometimes it's about the principles, and it's only you who can decide if it's...

    Consumer Rights?

Whether it is a home-purchase or anything that requires signing paper, if I am on the fence, I always put in conditions with wordings like "based on the sole satisfactory of the buyer". you can pretty much throw anything in front of this such as financing, inspection, etc. BTW, Mina's awesome :)

Thank you all. Lots of great tips. Me and wife went to see a few private sales tonight. The search continues!

know of a trusted dealership for used vehicles?

Hi Mina, wish Johnny does used car sales too! :) I'm looking for a reliable SUV (not too old - i think 2005 or newer) with somewhat low mileage (130-170k) around the $5000-6000 ballpark. Car maker not too fuzzy, wife likes Japanese, but I've convinced her with Ford (e.g. Escape XLT). We...

know of a trusted dealership for used vehicles?

Hi, I'm currently looking for a used commuter SUV for my wife. Any recommendations of used car dealerships that you had a great experience? Feel free to share your horror stories and who to avoid as well. Thanks.

Backpack recommendations? For storing all your gear?

^^ same here. Tried one of those MEC huge backpacks and promptly switched to the Ogio. The online pics of the Ogio is deceiving. Most comfortable when it is not expanded (you unzip to expand, get another inch of extension) For me, it totally screws up where the paddings are supposed to be. Also...

Backpack recommendations? For storing all your gear?

2 options I can think of. 1) OGIO and ICON both made backpacks with helmet straps. Problem is that both will not have enough room for your leather jacket, and you risk knocking your helmet with stuff. 2) Cases (Top and/or side) that locks - Cases like GIVI, you'll be able to fit all your gear...

I'm not trying to be BAD *** here but i gotta get my bike nomatter what

Stop using cultural differences as an excuse for the OP. Following the rules, whether it's here or overseas, it's an individual choice. Don't want to de-rail this thread, but as an immigrant myself, I kept hearing all these excuses that "it's different here than back home". Well, for us...

I'm not trying to be BAD *** here but i gotta get my bike nomatter what

eBike bro... what's more to think about? It solves all your problems, cheaper than relocating to another province. I hear you don't need gas to run it also.

I'm not trying to be BAD *** here but i gotta get my bike nomatter what

This makes me laugh. Seriously dude? major facepalm. What you are proposing is not creative. It's fraud, against the law, lying, not being truthful, wrongful and criminal deception, etc. Your only option at this point is to buy an eBike, which you don't have to worry about licensing...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

8:04 am southbound on DVP around Lawrence. Saw a Gixxer 2up, rider wearing shorts (can't see if he was rocking flip flops). Passenger had minimal gear also. You guys must be in a hurry for some emergencies. Pray that you get to your destination safe weaving in and out of all 3 lanes of...
