    Plasma is dead.

Let's see: plasmas still have the best contrast ratio, handle blacks better and have a greater viewing angle than LCD/LED's. As for brightness, I don't really care, my viewing room is in the basement. Oh well, looks like it's strickly a business decision.

    Sport Touring Suggestions

How often do you plan to tour 2-up? It can be done on the VFR (once in a while) but yes, it won't be as comfy as a bigger sport-tourer like an FJR or the like. On the other hand, what about when it's just you? The VFR is still pretty good at that. Not sure I'm ready yet to have a large toure as...

Ontario should make winter tires mandatory.

Ever driven with snow tires in the winter? They just plain work better in cold weather, period. The way I see it, if you plan to keep your car for 4-5 years, you're gonna need to replace the tires at some point so why don't you get a set of winter tires on steelies right away and be done with it?

    2012 CBR1000rr

Test rode one during a Honda demo day this past spring. My right foot was roasting through my Alpinestars. Mind you, we're talking about a casual pace. Going faster might be different. Nice bike.

2013 Tour: Blue Ridge or East Coast?

Actually, I stayed in a small cabin, basically a bed and a small table and chair. You do have access to the showers and breakfast like the other campers.

2013 Tour: Blue Ridge or East Coast?

I did the BRP a few years ago and we based ourselves at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle campground for three nights and rode all over the place while there. Amazing roads and the Dragon isn't too far away. Here's their website: http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/ The largest town is about 20...

    New upgrades before winter storage!

Nice upgrades. I'm planning to put a springer fork on my VFR this winter.

    Hard Cases...interchangeability?

Kappa and Givi are from the same factory so the mounts are the same. Kappa is not as "pretty" or as rugged as the Givis but costs less.

    winter tires/rims

Costco wasn't even close when I was shopping for tires. Too many "hidden" costs. Check out http://www.dreamtire.com/ The Michelin X-Ice 2 is a great tire for the GTA. No need for a Blizzak which is really designed for places with lots of snow.

    suggestions for 600-1000cc sport tourer?

Wow, so soon!! Not happy with the bike? I know I have no interest in it. I think Honda missed the boat with this thing. All I wanted was a 1000cc gear-driven V4, fully adjustable suspension with upside down front forks, radial-mounted front brake calipers (with or without ABS) and chain driven...

    suggestions for 600-1000cc sport tourer?

Seriously? With a Hindle? I have a Holeshot on mine and it has a nice deep burble. I opened the air box as well which give it a nice howl at WOT. Whenever I ride my friend's which is totally stock, I can't believe the difference. It weighs about 505 lbs, wet but you can still make dance if...

How bad are Chinese dirt bikes?

I can't believe they get away with a name like this and not getting sued! http://www.yamasakimotor.com/en/home.asp

Which helmet: Shoei RF1100 or Shoei Qwest

My friend had a TZ-R for a few years and switched to a Qwest and found it noisier than the TZ-R.

Comfotable bike for a passenger that's not a full touring bike...

Apparently not nearly as fun to ride than the Sprint ST. They've messed up the steering quite a bit.
