I think there's proximity APIs built into bluetooth. I remember I used to be able to unlock my computer with my phone if it was within a certain range, but that might have just been a function of "as soon as you see the phone, unlock". not 100% sure on that.

I'd be in for that. only thing is leaving for rides at 8pm, it's starting to get dark on the way back. Not that I particularly mind, but I know some people do.
That eliminator will work best with the stock exhaust, but like I said, I think the OEM endcap gets in the way of the LED taillight when it's above the exhaust like that. I'd wait until you get an exhaust before doing the taillight if you're dead set on that style. You can get the plate bracket...
I'm not too much up on the Hondas, but since a friend of mine has an 09 CBR and went thru this last summer, I'm pretty sure your best options for a tail light is either the CustomLED replacement taillight, which uses the stock brackets (sits under the exhaust) or you can get the Tripage LED...

these things are jetted so bloody lean that even a little crap in the carbs will make it not start...
