    Motorcycle Stealth Camping

Thanks MacDoc - some great suggestions there. I'm leaning towards an all mesh bivy to ward off the mossies. If there is a risk of showers or heavy overnight dew, a simple tarp should be sufficient for a quick over-nighter. I was on Google Maps and just a cursory look along Highway 49 north of...

    Motorcycle Stealth Camping

Thanks - I was wondering about the fire roads (red signs) and if it was ok to ride on them. I came across some while riding from Bobcageyon to Kinmount last weekend but wasn't sure if they went through private property.

    Motorcycle Stealth Camping

I did a few overnight camp outs on my bike this year including Mosport and Shannonville for the vintage race weekends. I also did a couple of weekends in provincial parks but was turned off by the crowds and the ridiculously high fees for a simple tent with no additional hook ups. I've read...

    Shed

Bought from Northsheds (http://www.northsheds.ca) a few years ago. A bit spends but they build the pieces at their shop and install on site. We had some custom stuff done that increased the price a bit but it actually is a focal point in our side yard so wanted something that looked good.

    Moto Camping

I was set up on the hill overlooking turn 2 / 3. I've used the beer can stove before when I was desperately looking to save weight but with the trailer, i now bring a propane unit if I'm planning on cooking meals.

    Moto Camping

My setup this weekend at Mosport: - Kelty Ridgeway tent - Eureka self-inflating pad - some generic air mattress and Coleman sleeping bag - trailer contains sleeping bag, cooking gear, cooler, and other odds n' ends - fresh clothes in saddlebags, wet gear, etc. - on fender - compression bag...

    Guildwood Parkway accident

Just around the corner from my house. I was riding back from the Goin' Sideways sidecar rally in Ennismore and had to take a detour around the accident to get home. Bike was still lying on its side but rider had been transported - get well soon!

Buy a demo days bike... yes/no?

I bought a VStar 1100 as a demo bike. It was a couple of thousand less than new and came with a full warranty. I put nearly 50,000 trouble-free kms on it before trading it in.

Bye Bye Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!! i don't think the left was really fragmented last election as Smitherman was the only big name on the ballot. Rossi - more of a centrist - had dropped out and Joey Pants never had much of an impact. The decision was really between Ford and Smitherman and...

Please sign my petition to allow straight pipes in Ontario for rider safety

This exactly mirrors my experience. My Roadstar with stock pipes is quieter than my wife's stock Volusia but the horn on the Roadstar is at least as loud as any car horn. If you feel your bike's horn is anemic, than I suggest you replace it with one of the many options out there such as this...

laskik eye surgery laser eye surgery

Had mine done at LasikMD over ten years ago. $2200 for both eyes. I do require reading glasses now but that is a product of age and had I not had my distance corrected, I would be wearing bi-focals. Reading glasses are an insignificant trade-off. Within a week of the procedure, my vision was...
