    Playstation 4

Well one difference is movie DVDs or Blu-Rays don't have the same amount of online content and replay value as a video game. They're not operating gaming servers, developing updated content and maps, patches, and organizing tournaments. Things that require additional costs beyond the initial...

    Playstation 4

Relax. I clearly stated that I don't like the idea. I don't support blocking out used games or purchasing online passes. Just saying I get why developers do this and you nailed it. GREED.

    Playstation 4

Well I guess these game developers don't do this stuff as charity work. In terms of the money they see when someone buys a used copy, it's the same as someone playing a pirated copy: $0. When a video game's budget is anywhere from $40 - $100 million, a developer needs to sell a million copies...

Why Android is better than iPhone.

I agree, HTC is appealing to the masses. I was sharing my personal thoughts on first glance at the specs. One of the reasons I like the Android platform is because it's open source and thus, there are hundreds of customized ROMs for it. Being able to customize my phones to fit more of my...

Why Android is better than iPhone.

Batteries lose "health" over time the more you discharge and recharge them. Buying a replacement battery is cheap. Plus for someone like me who mods/roots my phones, being able to remove the battery to cure a frozen phone has been a lifesaver multiple times. The SD card also makes things...

Why Android is better than iPhone.

The specs overall look good. I'm a bit disappointed that it's still a sealed battery and no expandable memory with a SD card.

Has volunteer/charitable work been mentioned in this thread yet? Big Brother perhaps?

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Well the role of the Allies wasn't really the story Hanks and Spielberg were trying to tell in that movie. At least the acting, directing, cinematography, action set pieces, etc. in Saving Private Ryan were all memorable. Affleck and his character in Argo was dull and so were his supporting...

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Yup, lots of TO spots in the movie. I instantly recognized UofT, subway stations, Commerce Court, Metro Convention Centre, etc... there was even a CTV news anchor in the movie.

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

I saw Argo. It was meh... a lot of American hype behind it. It downplayed and omitted a lot of the Canadian contributions with the CIA taking the glory. Obviously, you have to understand it's a Hollywood movie where the target audience is mainly American. The acting was also nothing noteworthy.

    Meteorite hits ground in Russia?

Other way around. An object travelling at supersonic speeds creates compressed pressure waves which then form into a shock wave that you hear as a sonic boom. It sounds like an explosion and the energy released was enough to shatter windows on the ground in this case.

    Meteorite hits ground in Russia?

Turns out the two events were unrelated according to NASA. Updated preliminary estimates of the one that flew over Russia put it at about 17 metres and 10,000 tons. Apparently they couldn't detect it because it came from out of nowhere on the daylight side of the Earth, effectively cloaking...

Ontario should make winter tires mandatory.

All that of that tech are great tools and aids but obviously the best tools are your god given ones; brain, eyes, ears, etc. Some people's brains seem to turn off when they turn on the gadgets. Like driving your car off a cliff or into the woods because "that's where the GPS told me to go".

    M2 exit course and test

True. Passing any recognized motorcycle safety course will waive the 22 month M2 holding period to 18.

And he was replying to a post that was talking about AWD hence why I was pointing out that most common AWD systems are always on/auto.

Ontario should make winter tires mandatory.

Most AWD systems are auto no? Some might have a switch to turn it off but by default it's on when you start the car each time. At least on the ones I've seen.

Ontario should make winter tires mandatory.

I am chill. Tone doesn't travel the internet I will say. Just saying that when someone who rides all seasons because they don't think winter tires is worth the extra money, that's fine. Their choice. Those that choose to spend $ on winter rubber are obviously placing priority of safety >...

His money and choice, not yours. Next time you go to the track, please spare yourself the additional expense and buy the cheapest POS tires because you only think terms of economics.

    Bad Cager trends coming soon.

I've driven around all across Canada. There's idiots everywhere and not just any particular group. Don't be complacent and always stay alert.
