Not to discredit 250/300 owners, but I can see the annoyance with riding them on the highway. I've done it, and I want to get off ASAP. Mind you my current bike is kinda brutal on the highway as well..... but it has nothing to do with the power. Moreso very light weight, zero wind protection...

No. Aside from the fact there isn't a substantial difference, I would save your money and garnish some more experience. Next season if you still feel the urge to "upgrade" ... Take a look at the 650's as mentioned previously. Realistically you should wait until the demo days next year and test...

Did not buy my 690 at GP Bikes but they seem to treat everybody the same... as with scheduling. Maybe this is a BMW thing? GP Bikes seems to treat everybody fairly. I didn't buy my bike at GP but they still gave me a loaner bike when mine was doing some work. As a matter of fact they loaned me...

That bike is ... uh ... awfully low to the ground! lol. Looked like the sides were scraping.

I modified my kickstand to support the bike in sand, etc... Definitely helps with the dreaded sink-in-asphalt. Images taken with a potato apparently.

That's a pretty sweet build. The CB500X "Rally Raid" comes to mind... but who knows how much that will cost.
