Looking to buy used pannier racks.
Doesn't really matter what kind as I will be customizing my own boxs to fit the rack, just need solid racks to mount them on.
I got my Bestem 929 top case installed. The luggage rack I bought was more expensive, but the cheapest I could find.
Here's the rack I bought for my Bandit...
I got the Oxford Heaterz sport grips and they're amazing!
I also just got my hand guards, but they won't fit. They're smaller than I thought, but I can't wedge them between my clutch lever and switch.....too tight because of my choke lever on the switch housing. Bummer. They don't look bad. I...
Those things make me kind of nervous. If I pull my hand out, what if I cant get it back in the sleeve quick enough in case of a surprise on the road? I bet they'd work great though, just not for me.
I'll be installing them on my Bandit 600 S. The heated grips are awesome, but the wind deflection will help I think. I'll post pictures and a little review when I get them.
haha, I hear you. I'm going to ride as long as I can, hopefully to the end of October if not later. The frost I saw in the fields on the way to work today have me somewhat discouraged though.
Crunchy knotchy brake lever: http://youtu.be/qlOYB12ntO8 was yours crunchy like this? I think I need to rebuild my master cylinder. Duh, I was blaming my forks....feeling stupid right now.
FJR1300 or Concours 1400
I can't afford either, so I'll continue to add accessories to my Bandit 600 S. I've ordered a top case, and will be adding side cases as well as a touring windshield, renthal bars, heated grips, etc.
But that FJR with electronic cruise.....sweet! And it even looks...

Ive ordered some heated grips for my bandit but im also thinking about some hand guards. the barkbusters are...
I packed my neon banana rain suit for the ride home. Heading home to Brantford from Guelph soon. About an hour ride....giddyup! I don't mind the rain. RainX on my visor and life is good!
That's a Hyundai Accent not a Ford Focus. Not sure why that's the first thing that stuck in my head....I've got issues. :glasses9:
My wife let me get a bike this year.....it's been 18 since I wrote off my FJ1200....and been with her for 17. She just gives me the "look" anytime motorcycles are...
Interesting....you've got me thinking about my brakes a bit more now. I was thinking that I should upgrade my fork springs and put in a heavier oil....never noticed crunchiness in my lever....I'll have to really pay attention to it on my way home tonight.
How long have you had this bike? Is...
Just to clarify....does the lever feel the same way riding vs stopped? Crunchy is a interesting term....I describe my front brake stopping performance as crunchy but that has to do more with crunchy or knotchy fork diving.

Really? $10,000 for a 79 650 that was shined up a bit with a couple mods? Looks great, but I don't think it's worth that. What do you guys think?
My bike is air cooled too, so at least it's happy.
I don't get those vests either. I'm pretty much an ATGATT kind of rider though. It was a big deal for me to go to a new armoured mesh jacket from my leather. Leaving your arms and hands unprotected just seems crazy.
Anyway, you guys that like...
Well, I thought it was! lol I ride the back roads to work from Brantford to Guelph (55 mins) ....I swear the leaves are changing. My upper body was warm....but legs and feet got cold! Brrrr! :santa:
