Which Racer5 day did you do? I was there for stage 1 and 2, in Andrews group. Pretty fun course and gives you a good foundation for skills. Fawaz ensures of lots of track time too.
Thanks for all the feedback guys! I'm happy to hear that I'm not too far off. Next time out I will work on leaning off less, foot position, sitting further back and smoother braking/throttle. I also will re-watch Twist of the Wrist.
Just for reference, I was running 1:32's for the most part...
I know that I have to put my foot back further on the peg, but just wondering if I'm leaning off properly? This was only my second track day and look forward to learning more and more, just don't want to develop bad habits.
If you watch the first 20 seconds of your video with the other riding going through turn 1, I rode his line a few times and the track felt fairly smooth. However I could be wrong, it was only my second track day.
I've got a question about turn 6. On corner entry once I start leaning the bike over, there is a huge bump, kind of like a seam in the pavement. There is also a ripple if you were taking a late apex. Any tips on finding a better and smoother line through there without being off the racing line?
I'll be going Sunday for the beginner group too. Blue R6, haven't ridden it before, have replaced all fluids, chain and sprockets, front brake pads and tires. Anyone have any tips on how to break in new tires at the track? I know to take it slow and gradually lean more, but don't want to be a...
Purchased this tire in 2013 and never used, still has the sticker on. This is just the front tire for sale. Size is 120/17 ZR 17.
$100 pick up in Hamilton.
I was hoping to get out on the 21st or 22nd for a track day, anyone know who's running that one? I'm pretty new to the track and may have not seen the coolant and wiped out myself, kind of worries me. Hopefully it goes smooth from here on...
Thank you for your reply, I don't think there is a choke circuit as the bike is fuel injected. I would figure that if the bike were "choked" upon a cold start, that the ecu would just open the throttlebody slightly.
Have this bike for the track. It has race fairings and no lights or anything. I would like to remove the signal and horn control from the handlebar. I looked online and there doesn't seem to be any info on it. The signal and horn wiring is routed in the same jacket as the clutch switch, I have...
At the January bike show, my main purpose of attending was to get a 1pc suit. I walked around from vendor to vendor and tried on many suits. Finally ended up at the GP bikes booth, the sales lady asked if I needed help, I asked for a specific model, size and colour. I also asked if I could try...
