Thinking of a new used ADV style bike, what are your thoughts?

I've experience with the Strom, the KLR, DR650E. Versys650, the BMW F800GS and the new Tiger albeit a short ride on the Tiger. The Beemer was a favourite of my brother-in-law who now rides the Tiger and he prefers the Beemer to the Tiger and Wee-Strom. I liked the power off road compared to...

vrra 50th anniversary weekend aug 11-13

My friends were camping and already my Facebook feed is filling up with family pictures, sidecars and campfires. It's my favourite event of the year and sadly I had other commitments in the Maritimes and was unable to attend.

Oomis - One of Our Own.

Oomis, I was really looking forward to meeting you and your wife in person, and was shattered to learn the trip has ended so tragically. My heart goes out to you. I wish a speedy recovery for both your body and soul.

Going to Algonquin. What are the must ride roads?

Not a clue, but I thought it worth saving at the time.

    Little adv bikes(versys 300)

This is what I think as well. Can it mount standard sized DOT knobbies? If it would do loose gravel and wet clay roads it would be a winner!

Np, I hope you enjoy it almost as much as I enjoyed riding it. Writing it. Whatever. :D

2017 The Cabot and Fleur-de-lis Trails - Ride Report

Cheticamp River, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia I've been looking for a job after graduating from college recently, and put any riding plans on hold until I saw a facebook post announcing that the Canadian Superbike CSBK was at Shubenacadie this coming weekend! It spurred me into thinking that...

Is there a way to repair a dent/scratched stainless exhaust shield?

Perhaps a visit to a body shop for a quote and advice? It's not like they don't see this once in a while. If you are going to hammer it out, might I suggest a densely filled sandbag on the opposite side? It will perform better than a piece of wood and absorb more of the applied force.

    WAZE and other maps

The OP wanted to know if Waze in particular could follow a custom route such as a ore planned gpx file or similar. It devolved in traffic discussions. :D For the record my old school GPS doesn't do traffic, but it will follow a track, and if you: Plot a route in google maps using the 'my...

    WAZE and other maps

I prefer to always have offline maps, and I found googles beta 'offline' rollout disappointing to say the least, so on my droid I switched to OSMAnd and couldn't be happier, until I switched to the iPhone (long story involving a concrete floor and an loaner from a nephew) and found that OSMAnd...

    WAZE and other maps

OsmAnd on android will route and record/import gpx files, but it won't route on an iPhone. Maps.me will do offline routing on an iPhone, but I'm uncertain as to record/import gpx files. Doubtful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
